Abstract:
In a method for determining the projection geometry of an x-ray apparatus, an x-ray image of an object inside the patient is generated using the x-ray apparatus. A first measurement of a characteristic dimension of the imaged object is determined in the x-ray image. A second measurement of the characteristic dimension is determined using real geometry data of the object. The projection geometry is then determined using the first and second measurements.
Abstract:
The device enables the detection of positions of the navigation marking elements on a reference star by way of at least two projection images taken by an X-ray system at different pivoting angles of a C-arm. The positions of the navigation marking elements on the reference star are also calculated by a navigation system tracking camera. The transformation from the coordinate system of the navigation system into the coordinate system of the X-ray system is calculated from the position of the reference star detected by the X-ray system and the position of the reference star detected by the tracking camera. The navigation marking elements are located outside of the volume which is reconstructed by way of the imaging process in order to prepare tomographic images. The positions of the navigation marking elements are determined from two-dimensional projections. All the navigation marking elements need only be detected by at least two projection images.
Abstract:
A medical imaging system and a method electromagnetically track a position of structures with the medical imaging system and a C-arm arrangement. The medical imaging system contains a C-arm, a gantry, and at least one electromagnetic field generator assembly with at least one electromagnetic field generator which interacts with an electromagnetic sensor from receiving the electromagnetic radiation. Preferably, the electromagnetic sensor is positioned within a region of surgical interest in a patient. The electromagnetic field generator is directly embedded into the C-arm.
Abstract:
In an arrangement and associated method for positioning of apparatuses (in particular of a C-arm), the position and orientation of a C-arm and of a pointer instrument are determined by a navigation system, and an alignment of the C-arm is conducted based on the orientation of the pointer apparatus.
Abstract:
An x-ray system to generate x-ray image data of a predefined volume segment of an examination subject has either an arc-shaped mount or an annular gantry, an x-ray emitter arrangement with multiple x-ray microemitters, an x-ray detector arrangement with multiple x-ray pixels arranged directly adjacent to one another, and a controller to activate the x-ray emitter arrangement and the x-ray detector arrangement. The x-ray emitter arrangement and the x-ray detector are situated opposite one another on the arc-shaped mount or the gantry. The x-ray system is designed for introduction of the examination subject between the x-ray emitter arrangement and the x-ray detector.
Abstract:
In an x-ray system and a method for image composition, congruent optical images and x-ray images of subjects provided with markers are generated. A transformation matrix/imaging matrix is formed and applied to the congruent x-ray images based on the detected identical markers in optical images. The transformation matrix is used to compose an aggregate image from the x-ray images.
Abstract:
In a device and method for processing and presenting x-ray images, an x-ray image of a subject is acquired with an x-ray acquisition cone simultaneously with the acquisition of an optical exposure of the examination subject with an optical acquisition cone that is congruent with the x-ray acquisition cone. The subject in the optical exposure is subjected to segmentation and/or edge extraction, and the extracted optical exposure and the x-ray image are additively combined so that the subject edges from the optical exposure are inserted into the x-ray image.
Abstract:
In a method for improving profitability of a medical procedure supervised through a medical facility, the medical procedure including ingestion of an endoscopy capsule by a patient of the medical facility, the endoscopy capsule is retrieved after being naturally voided by the patient after the endoscopy capsule traverses the gastrointestinal tract of the patient, and a reward is paid to a person who returns the retrieved endoscopy capsule to a location associated with the medical facility. An endoscopy capsule usable with this procedure has a capsule body containing medical data-gathering components, and an exchangeable cover that covers the capsule body that is formed of a material allowing removal of the cover after the capsule has passed through the gastrointestinal tract of the patient, so that a new cover can be provided on the capsule body.
Abstract:
In a device for capturing high energy radiation emitted from a radiation source within an examination object with a detector, the detector is arranged on a carriage mechanism that is mounted in a rotatable fashion around the examination object. The carriage mechanism is supported on a stand unit via a retaining mechanism, with an amplifier device being provided that amplifies the signals coming from the detector that are fed to the amplifier device via a signal guidance device. A data processing device is provided to process the amplified signals. By arranging the amplifier device and/or the data processing device essentially within the stand unit, a device is provided which can be flexibly utilized and which increases the patient's comfort during an examination.
Abstract:
In a method for recording radiological projection data sets of an object under examination, a number of two-dimensional projection data sets of the object under examination being recorded, which are characterized by an axis of rotation having a spatial position, with a projection data set being obtained from an x-ray beam penetrating the object under examination, which essentially diffuses at a right angle to the axis of rotation. By changing the spatial position of the axis of rotation between the recording of two successive projection data sets, increases the versatility of the x-ray device increased, in particular for a movable x-ray device, and the image quality of the spatial representations that are reconstructed from the projection data sets is improved.
