摘要: In this patent disclosure, various embodiments of using near-field communication (NFC) to facilitate secure data exchange between a robotic surgical system and a surgical tool attached onto the robotic surgical system are disclosed. In one aspect, a process for enabling secure data exchange between a robotic surgical system and a surgical tool begins by detecting a coupling of the surgical tool onto the robotic surgical system. The process next establishes a NFC link between a first NFC module embedded in the robotic surgical system and a second NFC module embedded in the surgical tool. The process then determines whether the surgical tool is authenticated to the robotic surgical system via the NFC link. Next, in response to the authentication of the surgical tool, the process establishes secure data exchange between the robotic surgical system and the surgical tool.

摘要: Embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method for obstacle avoidance of a surgical robot. The method may include: collecting first data through a first acquisition device, wherein the first data is image data of a space in which a target subject is located; constructing a safety zone for the target subject based on the first data; collecting second data outside the safety zone through a second acquisition device, wherein the second data is image data of the target subject; and constructing a three-dimensional model of the target subject based on the second data, wherein the three-dimensional model of the target subject may be used for obstacle avoidance detection during an operation of the surgical robot.

The method comprises the steps of gathering data during surgical procedures, wherein the surgical procedures include the use of a surgical instrument, analyzing the gathered data to determine an appropriate operational adjustment of the surgical instrument, and adjusting the operation of the surgical instrument to improve the operation of the surgical instrument.

摘要: A method for producing a surgical instrument is disclosed. The method comprises obtaining a handle, wherein the handle comprises a distal end comprising a shaft interface surface and a first set of magnetic elements. The method further comprises obtaining a shaft, wherein the shaft comprises a proximal end comprising a handle interface surface, a second set of magnetic elements, and a third set of magnetic elements. The method further comprises attaching the shaft to the handle, wherein the shaft interface surface is configured to engage the shaft at the handle interface surface, wherein an attractive magnetic force is configured to pull the handle towards the shaft when the first set of magnetic elements interact with the second magnetic elements, and wherein a repulsive magnetic force is configured to repel the handle from the shaft when the first set of magnetic elements interacts with the third set of magnetic elements.

摘要: A durability testing fixture, system and method for testing a medical device. The testing fixture include a stabilizing member, an inflatable member and a pressure controller. The inflatable member is positioned adjacent the stabilizing member and defines a bore therein, the bore sized to hold the medical device. The inflatable member is configured to receive and release a fluid so that the inflatable member is respectively inflatable and deflatable to radially displace an inner surface of the bore. The pressure controller is coupled to the inflatable member and is configured to control inflation and deflation of the inflatable member to radially displace the inner surface of the bore and to apply a force directly along an outer radially extending surface of the medical device.
