A color image sensor has a matrix of photoelectric conversion cells on which a color filter with a color area arranged in an L shape is formed.     摘要: An apparatus for image taking includes a range image sensor, in which a range image is produced in which a distance is represented with a pixel value by image taking of a principal object from an image taking position. An image pickup device receives light reflected by the principal object, to output an image signal for respective pixels. A light reception control unit changes over a reception sequence and reception time, and causes the image pickup device to output image signals associated with first and second distance ranges. The second distance range is a distance range where the principal object exists and is over the first distance range. A first range image and second range image, are formed according to the image signals. Blank portions are designated within the second range image by comparison of the first range image and second range image, to compensate for the blank portions.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a recording head which is constructed as a line head by arranging a plurality of head components along the direction of arrangement of recording elements and in which an amount of a gap of the recording elements at each of the joints between each pair of the head components located adjacent to each other along the direction of arrangement of the recording elements is detected to achieve recording of a high-quality image free from a stripe shape nonuniformity, a blank defect, a color nonuniformity, and the like. To achieve this object, the recording head has a head portion for recording an image on a recording medium, and a sensor portion for reading the image recorded on the recording medium by the head portion. In the head portion, a plurality of head components each formed by arranging recording elements for recording an image on the recording medium are arranged along the direction of arrangement of the recording elements. In the sensor portion, a plurality of reading elements for reading the image recorded on the recording medium are arranged in one direction. The head portion and the sensor portion are placed on one base member while being fixedly positioned relatively to integrally form a head module.

    摘要: In recording an image on a recording medium such as photographic film, position information used for the detection of a principal image is recorded on the recording medium. The position information is read when a hard copy of the image is produced. A characteristic value is derived from within the area of the principal image detected in accordance with the position information. A print exposure amount used for producing a hard copy is determined in accordance with the characteristic value. The position information may be the information directly or indirectly representing the position of the primary image. The indirect representation may be a combination of a subject distance and a focal length of a taking lens. This combination determines a reference size of a face or figure image on a frame. By detecting an image having the same size as the reference size, the principal image such as a facial image or a figure image can be identified.

    摘要: An automatic focusing adjusting device for use in a camera is disclosed in which an operation processing on the phase difference detection to be executed when the focusing of an image pickup optical system is detected can be performed by means of an analog signal processing. Also, in the adjusting device, based on the output signal of the operation means or on the distance measurement information obtained from the sensor means, the distance measurement ranges in the light receiving part of the sensor means can be changed and the changed versions of the distance measurement ranges can be visibly displayed on display means.
