    Abstract: A communication method and system for converging a fifth generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a fourth generation (4G) system with a technology for internet of things (IoT) are provided. The communication method and system may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method of a terminal for receiving data in a cellular network is provided. The method comprises receiving a synchronization signal block (SS block) including at least one synchronization signal and a broadcast channel from a base station, identifying an offset between the SS block and a resource block (RB) grid from system information in the broadcast channel, and determining the resource block grid based on the offset.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method performed by a terminal of a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises the steps of: receiving, from a base station, a message including first information about the length of a time domain window (TDW) and second information indicating whether to activate repeated physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions, the number of which is counted on the basis of available slots for PUSCH transmission; determining at least one TDW on the basis of the first information and the second information; and transmitting a PUSCH to the base station while maintaining power consistency and phase continuity, on the basis of the determined at least one TDW.
