    Abstract: An electronic device capable of touch event processing is provided. The electronic device includes first and second surfaces oriented in different directions, the second surface being narrower than the first surface, a touchscreen display including a touch panel, and having a first section exposed through the first surface and a second section exposed through the second surface, a processor electrically connected with the touchscreen display, and a memory that stores instructions that cause, when executed, the processor to activate the touch panel, to detect a first touch event on one of the first section and the second section, to detect a second touch event on the other section after detection of the first touch event, to remove one of the first touch event and the second touch event, and to perform a function according at least partly to the remaining touch event.

    Abstract: According to various embodiments disclosed herein, an electronic device comprises: a front plate including a front surface facing a first direction and a first portion of a side surface extending from the front surface; a frame forming a second portion of the side surface and on which electronic components of the electronic device sit; a rear cover including a rear surface facing a second direction opposite the first direction and a third portion of the side surface extending from the rear surface to the second portion of the side surface; a mmWave antenna module including a mmWave antenna disposed in one region of the frame and configured to form a beam in a third direction forming an obtuse angle with the first direction and an acute angle with the second direction; and a wireless communication circuit electrically connected to the mmWave antenna module. The rear cover comprises a ceramic material. In the third portion of the rear cover, a portion included in a region forming a first angle with the third direction in which the mmWave antenna module is configured to form a beam has a thickness in a first range. A portion outside the region forming a first angle with the third direction in which the mmWave antenna module is configured to form a beam may have a thickness in a second range greater than the first range.

    Abstract: An electronic device capable of sensing a contact by a peripheral device according to various embodiments may comprise: at least one coil configured to be linked to the peripheral device; and at least one processor configured to sense a contact by the peripheral device. The at least one processor may be configured to: detect a first reception signal from the at least one coil during a first period; apply a first transmission signal to the at least one coil during a second period after the passage of the first period; detect a second reception signal from the at least one coil during a third period after the passage of the second period; and check whether or not the peripheral device has been inserted in the electronic device based on the first reception signal and the second reception signal, wherein the first reception signal is not generated by the peripheral device, and the second reception signal is generated in response to the reception, by the peripheral device, of the first transmission signal.

    Abstract: An electronic device according to various embodiments may comprise: a panel configured to identify the position of a stylus pen; a communication module configured to transmit/receive a communication signal with the stylus pen; at least one containing space coil disposed in a position corresponding to the position of a containing space capable of containing the stylus pen; and at least one processor. The at least one processor may be configured to control the communication module so as to apply, according to a first communication scheme, a signal having a pattern for controlling the stylus pen to the containing space coil on the basis of confirming that the stylus pen is inserted into the containing space, and to transmit, according to a second communication scheme, a communication signal including information for controlling the stylus pen to the stylus pen on the basis of confirming that the stylus pen is removed from the containing space. Various other embodiments are possible.
