A method and apparatus for mapping/demapping a resource efficiently in a wireless communication system are provided. A resource mapping method of a transmitter in a wireless communication system includes precoding pairs of symbols, arranging the pairs of precoded symbols adjacently in a resource block, and transmitting the pairs of precoded symbols in the resource block.

The present disclosure relates to a communication scheme and system for converging a 5-th generation (5G) communication system for supporting a higher data rate beyond a 4-th generation (4G) system with an internet of things (IoT) technology. The present disclosure is applicable to intelligent services (e.g., smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars, connected cars, health care, digital education, retails, security, safety-related services, and so forth) based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, in a wireless communication system, a user equipment (UE) receives control information about a secondary cell (SCell) from a primary cell (PCell) via a licensed band and communicates with PCell via the licensed band channel in an unoccupy window for an unlicensed band channel of SCell.

An apparatus and a method for transmitting/receiving downlink data channel signal transmission information in a cellular radio communication system using a Cooperative Multi-Point (CoMP) scheme are provided. In the downlink data channel signal transmission information transmission method, a Base Station (BS) transmits downlink data channel signal transmission information including information related to Resource Elements (REs) scheduled for a downlink data channel signal transmission to a User Equipment (UE), and transmits downlink data channel signal non-transmission information including information related to REs through which a downlink data channel signal is not transmitted among the REs scheduled for the downlink data channel signal transmission to the UE.

A method and apparatus for transmitting feedback information by a User Equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system are provided. The method includes receiving information about at least one Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS); performing channel estimation based on the information about at least one CSI-RS; receiving information about at least one feedback; and transmitting at least one feedback including a channel estimation result using the information about at least one feedback, wherein the information about at least one feedback includes information about a transmission timing and a feedback mode for at least one feedback.

A method and an apparatus are provided for transmitting and receiving control information in wireless communication system. A method includes transmitting, through Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling, information representative of a set of resource blocks for transmitting the control information; generating the control information; and transmitting the control information based on at least one enhanced Control Channel Element (eCCE), at least one antenna port, and the set of resource blocks. The at least one antenna port is determined according to a starting index of the at least one eCCE and an IDentifier (ID) of the UE, when using localized eCCE allocation within the set of resource blocks.

The method includes reporting a first Precoding Matrix Indicator (PMI) to an evolved Node B (eNB); calculating a second PMI using the first PMI; and reporting the second PMI to the eNB.

An eNB generates control information, and transmits the control information using at least one enhanced Control Channel Element (eCCE) and at least one antenna port. A User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system using a Coordinated Multi-Point transmission/reception (CoMP) scheme receives Downlink Control Information (DCI) including CoMP control information, determines a starting position of a data channel on wireless resources, based on starting position information of a data channel included in the CoMP control information and used in each of a plurality of cells, and receives data from the plurality of cells starting from the determined starting position.
