Abstract:
A method of making an organ or tissue comprises: (a) providing a first dispenser containing a structural support polymer and a second dispenser containing a live cell-containing composition; (b) depositing a layer on said support from said first and second dispenser, said layer comprising a structural support polymer and said cell-containing composition; and then (c) iteratively repeating said depositing step a plurality of times to form a plurality of layers one on another, with separate and discrete regions in each of said layers comprising one or the other of said support polymer or said cell-containing composition, to thereby produce provide a composite three dimensional structure containing both structural support regions and cell-containing regions. Apparatus for carrying out the method and composite products produced by the method are also described.

There is provided an on-line detection system and method for a weld of a steel strip, which can emit a laser beam onto the surface of a steel strip moving at a high speed and measure the reflectivity of the laser beam reflecting from the same, thereby detecting the weld of the steel strip easily on-line. In the on-line detection system, reflectivity measuring means emits a laser beam onto a moving steel strip and continuously measuring the reflectivity of the laser beam returning from the surface of the steel strip, and signal processing means detects a weld of the steel strip based on change in the reflectivity measured on the weld.

The present invention relates to an exposing device which can form a micron pattern even with an exposing device having a low resolving power by changing a mask pattern, methods for forming a pattern, a channel, and a hole respectively, and a liquid crystal display device therewith and a method for fabricating the same. A method for forming a pattern includes the steps of forming a thin film on a substrate, coating a photoresist film on the thin film, aligning a mask over the photoresist film, the mask formed on a base material, including a light shielding portion having a linear supporting portion and an uneven portion at a boundary of the supporting portion, and a transmission portion defined at regions excluding the light shielding portion, exposing the photoresist film with the mask thereon to a UV beam of a wavelength greater than 300 nm to cause refraction in the vicinity of the uneven portion, and developing the photoresist film exposed thus to form a photoresist film pattern, and patterning the thin film by using the photoresist film pattern thus formed.

An electron emission device and an electron emission display, in which a driving electrode is protected from being damaged when an overcurrent instantly flows therein. The electron emission device includes a first driving electrode disposed on a plate, a second driving electrode disposed on the plate and insulated from the first driving electrode, and an electron emission portion connected to the first driving electrode. The electron emission portion emits electrons in response to a voltage difference between the first driving electrode and the second driving electrode. The second driving electrode has at least two separate portions, and the at least two separate portions are coupled to each other by at least one band having a predetermined width adapted to electrically isolate at least one portion of the second driving electrode from the electron emission portion when an overcurrent is applied between the second driving electrode and the electron emission portion.
