摘要: Methods and apparatus for making an anastomotic connection between an opening at an end of a graft conduit and an aperture in a side wall of a body tissue conduit using a hollow connector assembly are provided, wherein the cross-sectional area of the anastomotic connection is larger than that of the graft conduit. The tissue about the opening is introduced about and retained by first members of a distal portion of the connector assembly held by a loading tool. A delivery tool then collapses a proximal portion defined by second members of the connector assembly and delivers the second members into the lumen of the body tissue conduit via the aperture. Upon inserting the second members into the body tissue conduit, the delivery tool is disemployed and the second members expand such that they press against the interior wall of the body tissue conduit and such that the first members are held within the aperture against a medial wall of the body tissue conduit.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method includes controlling a touch sensor of a device. The control of the touch sensor includes a first processing cycle executed by the controller that comprises acquisition of touch-sensor signals from the touch sensor; a second processing cycle executed by the controller that comprises pre-processing of the touch-sensor signals; and a third processing cycle executed by the controller that comprises processing of the touch-sensor signals to determine whether a touch or proximity input has occurred with respect to the touch sensor. If the touch or proximity input has occurred with respect to the touch sensor, a location of the touch or proximity input is determined. The method also includes controlling other sensors of the device. The control of the other sensors includes one or more fourth processing cycles executed by the controller concurrently with the first processing cycle or the second processing cycle.

摘要: An apparatus for assisting in a vascular procedure includes an obturator that interfaces with a surface of tissue, the obturator including a shaft and a groove that can guide one or more tips of a medical device into a targeted region. In more specific embodiments, the targeted region is an aortic hole. The obturator can include a knob that stabilizes the medical device laterally on a surface of the targeted region. The obturator can also include a flange element that extends beyond the knob onto an outside surface of the targeted region. The knob can include a chamfer feature that can provide room for the tips of the medical device to enter the targeted region at an angle without bumping into the knob. In still other embodiments, the tips are sharp needle tips of the medical device and the groove is a V-shaped groove.

摘要: Method and system for managing metadata for a plurality of storage platforms that provide virtualization services is provided. The method includes requesting a memory chunk for storing metadata; wherein a data processing agent operating in a storage platform requests the memory chunk and a centralized metadata controller for the plurality of storage platforms receives the request for the memory chunk; determining the memory chunk size and allocating the memory chunk from a pool of memory chunks; and assigning the allocated memory chunk to a virtualization mapping object.

摘要: Modular endograft devices and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. In several embodiments, an endograft system can include a first endograft device and a second endograft device that each include an integrated frame, a cover and a lumen within the cover. Each endograft device further includes a superior portion and an inferior portion. The superior portion can have a convexly curved outer wall and a septal wall. The first and second endograft devices can be configured to extend into a low-profile configuration with a first cross-sectional dimension and a first length and self-expand into an expanded configuration with a second cross-sectional dimension greater than the first cross-sectional dimension and a second length less than the first length. In the expanded configuration, the septal walls can press against each other and form a septum between the lumens of the first and second endograft devices.

摘要: Methods and devices for treating an aortic dissection having an entry point downstream of the takeoff of the left subclavian artery. The devices include a catheter that carries an endoluminal implant at a distal region of the catheter. The implant is a self-expanding tubular mesh or strutted stent. A capture sheath holds the stent in a compressed state for percutaneous delivery. The catheter is advanced to position the stent adjacent the entry point of the dissection. The stent is released by withdrawing the capture sheath. The stent expands to engage the intimal lining and press the intima into contact with the outer layers of the aorta and thereby promote healing of the dissection.

摘要: An apparatus and process for relabelling and redirecting at least some of the read transaction data frames and the write transaction write data and transfer ready frames in a network so as to bypass a storage manager and pass directly between the client and a storage device via a switch. This eliminates the storage manager as a bottleneck. Some embodiments redirect every read and write transaction, and others redirect only large transactions, or only ones not stored in cache or when latency gets too high. Redirection is accomplished by transmission from the storage manager to a switch redirection commands that contain old and new address data. When a frame to be redirected comes in, its address is compared to the old address data. If there is a match, the new address data is substituted and the frame is passed to a conventional routing process to be routed so as to bypass the storage manager.
