摘要: A massaging apparatus in which a position of a specific portion such as a user's shoulder with respect to the massaging apparatus can be determined automatically and accurately in a simple construction. The massaging apparatus includes a supporting arm having a therapeutic member pivotally supported thereon and freely movable along the user's body. The position of the specific portion of the user with respect to the massaging apparatus is determined from the relation between the vertical position of the supporting arm and the pivotal position of the supporting arm. A pivotal movement detecting system detects that the supporting arm reaches a prescribed range of pivotal movement is provided. The position of the specific portion of the user with respect to the massaging apparatus is determined from the position of the supporting arm at the moment when the pivotal movement of the supporting arm reaches the prescribed range.

摘要: A multi-spiral element includes a group of spiral conductive lines arranged so as not to cross each other so that the spiral conductive lines are substantially rotationally symmetric with respect to a predetermined point on a dielectric substrate. A plurality of conductive lines in the group of spiral conductive lines have external peripheral ends aligned at a substantially straight line substantially orthogonal to the group of spiral conductive lines. The external peripheral ends of each of the plurality of conductive lines in the multi-spiral element are connected to respective ends of a straight-line-group element having a group of parallel straight conductive lines. A resonator includes the multi-spiral elements functioning as capacitors for accumulating a charge, and the straight-line-group element functioning as an inductor.

摘要: Printhead structured such that printing elements are divisionally driven in unit of plural blocks, comprises: an input terminal to which printing data and encoded block data are serially inputted; a shift register sequentially shifting and storing one bit at a time the data serially inputted from the input terminal; a latch temporarily storing the data stored in the shift register; a decoder decoding the block data stored in the latch; and an AND circuit. The decoder outputs a signal in which encoded block data is partially decoded, and the AND circuit determines blocks to be driven based on the partially decoded signal. This structure enables to reduce an area of a printhead substrate, thereby enabling cost reduction of a printhead.

摘要: A resonator, a filter, and a duplexer are provided which are capable of very effectively suppressing the power loss caused by the edge effect, and which allow a great reduction in the overall size to be achieved. Also, a communication device including the above-mentioned filter or duplexer is provided. A ground electrode is formed over the bottom surface of a dielectric substrate, and a multiple spiral line pattern is formed on the top surface thereof. A radial line pattern is further formed on this surface with an insulation layer interposed therebetween. By thus disposing the radial pattern adjacently to the multiple spiral resonator constituted of the above-mentioned multiple spiral line, an electrostatic capacitance is added to the multiple spiral resonator. This reduces the occupation area of the resonator on the substrate, and improves the loss reduction effect.

摘要: A fault information management apparatus, which is used with a transmission apparatus for sending information in a network, manages information related to faults that occurred in the transmission apparatus and provides the fault information to a monitoring apparatus for the transmission apparatus. The fault information management apparatus comprises a fault history preparation section which, upon receipt of the fault information, prepares a fault history for the monitoring apparatus, and a report processing section which, on the basis of the fault history prepared by the fault history preparation section and independently of fault history preparation processing carried out by the fault history preparation section, carries out processing for reporting the fault information to the monitoring apparatus. This structure allows processing for preparing a history of faults and processing for reporting information regarding the faults to be carried out independently of each other, so that the fault history preparation processing can be speeded up so as to efficiently carry out the processing for failure occurrence and the processing for failure correction at a high speed.

摘要: An input memory storing data representing lines and paths of the transmission system. Every time such data is input in the memory, a comparison element compares the previous state of the system stored in the memory with a state of the system currently input in the memory. If no change is found between them, the current state of the system is kept the same as the previous state thereof. This means that no new trouble is caused or that no rectification of trouble is made. It is therefore judged that no trouble is caused. If any change is found, a trouble judging element seeks trouble corresponding to the change to store data as a link in a trouble memory. Unless any change is found, the previous input data is only compared with the currently input data. The process at an idling time can thus be conducted at a higher speed.

摘要: A transfer unit has a plastic end block at each end. The end block includes a bearing for supporting an auxiliary roller, and an arm having at its end portion a pivot received by a lower casing. The bearing and the arm are formed integrally with the end block. A leaf spring located under the transfer unit supports it along with the roller in movable relationship around the pivot. When an upper casing is shut down, a photoreceptor drum supported in the upper casing pushes down the transfer unit against the elastic force of the leaf spring. Since the positions of the transfer unit and the roller are determined with respect to the photoreceptor drum, good duplicativity can be obtained. In this state, a cylindrical spacer serves to secure a predetermined space between the photoreceptor drum and the auxiliary roller.
