    摘要: Methods for coating different regions of an implantable device are disclosed. An embodiment of the method includes dipping a first portion of the implantable device into a first coating substance, and then centrifuging the implantable device to provide an even coating. Next, a second portion of the implantable device is dipped into a second coating substance, and the implantable device is again centrifuged, resulting in an even second coating. In another embodiment, a first coating substance is applied to an interior surface of a cylindrical implantable device, such as a stent or graft, and a second coating substance is applied to an exterior surface. A centrifuge step is performed so that the first coating substance is preferentially and uniformly applied on the interior surface of the implantable device and the second coating substance is preferentially and uniformly applied on the exterior surface of the implantable device.

In one embodiment, the band is made of a regioselective material having a high creep compliance and having a second modulus of elasticity lower than that of a structural material comprising the stent. In one embodiment, the regioselective material is drip-coated or dip-coated on the stent near the ends. In one embodiment, the regioselective material includes a therapeutic agent, which may be a radioactive emitter, an anti-platelet drug, or an anti-proliferative drug.

    摘要: A stent or intraductal medical device manufactured from a tubular member having an inner tube tightly fitted into an outer tube is provided. Microdepots may be formed on the outer surface of the inner tube, and may contain radioactive, radiopaque or therapeutic substances. A method for manufacturing such a medical device or stent is also described. The material to be deposited on the inner tube may be deposited on the inner tube by dipping or immersion, or the material may be applied to the inner tube using micro-injection or electrodeposition. The material to be deposited may be applied to cavities or microdepots formed in the outer surface of the inner tube. Excess material may be removed from the inner tube by centrifugation or shaking, and the material to be deposited may be heated to bond the material to the surface of the microdepots on the inner tube.
