摘要: A stent or intraductal medical device manufactured from a tubular member having an inner tube tightly fitted into an outer tube is provided. Microdepots may be formed on the outer surface of the inner tube, and may contain radioactive, radiopaque or therapeutic substances. A method for manufacturing such a medical device or stent is also described. The material to be deposited on the inner tube may be deposited on the inner tube by dipping or immersion, or the material may be applied to the inner tube using micro-injection or electrodeposition. The material to be deposited may be applied to cavities or microdepots formed in the outer surface of the inner tube. Excess material may be removed from the inner tube by centrifugation or shaking, and the material to be deposited may be heated to bond the material to the surface of the microdepots on the inner tube.

摘要: A stent or intraductal medical device is provided having radiopaque marker material deposited on the surface of the stent or medical device to assist visualization of the device during implantation. A method for depositing a radiopaque material on an implantable medical device such as a stent is also described. The radiopaque material may be deposited on the medical device by dipping or immersion, or the radiopaque material may be applied to the device using micro-injection or electrodeposition. The radiopaque material may coat the entire surface of the stent, or only a portion of the stent, or it may be applied to cavities or microdepots formed in the outer surface of the medical device. Excess radiopaque material may be removed from the device by centrifugation or shaking, and the radiopaque material may be heated to bond the material to the surface of the device.

摘要: Network access control systems and methods are provided herein. A method includes receiving at a network device a SYN packet from a client device over a network, determining if the client device is a trusted source for the network using the SYN packet, if the client device is a trusted resource, receiving an acknowledgement (ACK) packet from the client device that includes identifying information for the client device plus an additional value, and identifying information for the network device, and establishing a connection with the network for the client device.

摘要: Improved treatment blocks useful in the treatment of lavatory appliances, particularly toilets are provided. The improved treatment blocks are solid block compositions which comprise at least one detersive surfactant, a film forming constituent, optionally a bleach constituent and one or more further optional constituents. The improved treatment blocks provide good detersive characteristics and further provide a film forming material which contacts the surfaces of the lavatory appliance, e.g., toilet, in which the block compositions are used. Methods of producing the solid block composition and treatment blocks therefrom, as well as methods of use are also disclosed.

摘要: A method of producing biological products using bacteria with an inactivated ptsHI and wild type err and no added glucose transport activity and which consumes nearly all glucose in the media is described. The ΔptsHI bacteria produce large quantities of recombinant protein without producing significant amounts of acetate. The bacteria grow well on standard LB broth without additional supplementation.

摘要: A ring device is integrated externally onto and around a regular hemodialysis arterio-venous graft conduit. The ring device is adjustable to reduce or to normalize (by rebounding) the diameter of the graft, and eventually to change blood flow through the graft. This ring device is designed such that it can be scaled up or down to change its diameter, and simultaneously the diameter of the associated graft prior to and even after its implantation into a patient's arm or leg. Since a hemodialysis arterio-venous graft is usually implanted superficially underneath skin, the device and its adjustable parts can be electively or urgently located and operated from outside by touching and pushing the skin, subcutaneous tissues and the device without a surgical incision. The ring device can be located anywhere within the graft and can function with a single ring or as a set of multiple rings.
