Abstract:
A collimator includes a capillary for holding optical fibers, a gradient index rod lens, and a cylindrical lens holder which holds the gradient index rod lens and has an annular end face connected to an end face of the capillary by an adhesive. By using the holder, the resistant of light power is improved and the degree of freedom of selection of the adhesive is increased.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a quantitative determination method for heparan sulfate in body fluid specimens of various chronic diseases, in urine samples of diabetic nephropathy and for diagnosing hepatic diseases and rheumatoid arthritis in blood specimens. And also this method provides a diagnostic tool for judging the condition of diabetic nephropathy, hepatic diseases and rheumatoid arthritis by determination of changes by use of aforementioned quantitative determination of heparan sulfate.
Abstract:
A circuit substrate (3) being electrically connected to a rechargeable battery (2) is arranged upon a sealing plate (23) with a gap therebetween and united with the rechargeable battery (2) by filling resin in the gap. A primary mold (11) formed by the resin is firmly retained by undercut portions formed in engaging protrusions (26). The engaging protrusions (26) may be formed by welding separate engaging members (126, 126a, 126b, 126c, 66, 68).
Abstract:
The present invention provides a conductive roller having a core and a conductive foam formed on a peripheral surface thereof. The conductive foam consists of a three-phase rubber composition containing 35 to 50 parts by mass of epichlorohydrin rubber, 25 to 35 parts by mass of ethylene-propylene-diene copolymer rubber, and 25 to 30 parts by mass of acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber as a rubber component thereof. The conductive foam does not have a coating layer formed on a surface thereof. The conductive roller has an Asker C hardness, an electric resistance value, an average surface-cell diameter, and a number of surface cells set to 30 to 36°, 106 to 107 Ω, 100 to 200 μm, and 50 to 120/1.5 mm square respectively.
Abstract:
An image sensor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided, so that the warp or the distortion is not caused even if there is the thermal expansion difference or the thermal contraction difference in the longitudinal direction between the linear illuminating device and the frame. The image sensor comprises a linear illuminating device for illuminating an original; a light-receiving element array for receiving reflected light from the original; a lens array for focusing the original on the light-receiving element array; a frame for containing the linear illuminating device, the lens array, and the light-receiving element array; and a resilient retaining portion for pressing the linear illuminating device, which is mounted in the frame, into the frame.
Abstract:
An anti-acharan sulfate antibody, a hybridoma that produces the antibody, a detection method and a detection kit to which the antibody is applied are disclosed. The anti-acharan sulfate antibody can be produced by immunizing a mammal using as an antigen a substance obtained by chemically bonding a protein to acharan sulfate.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a safe and novel stabilizing agent for enzymes; a composition containing an enzyme and the stabilizing agent; and a kit containing the stabilizing agent composition. According to the invention, deactivation or inactivation of the activity of the enzyme during storage, drying, freezing, etc. can be prevented, without raising any problem of potential infection of an enzyme with a pathogen. For purposes of the invention, the stabilizing agent for an enzyme contains a plant-derived polypeptide as an active ingredient.
Abstract:
A battery pack (10) includes: a battery (1); a circuit substrate (5) having a charge/discharge safety circuit and arranged on one end face (3) of the battery; and an end case (6) in which an external connection terminal (7) is set. In this battery pack, the circuit substrate (5) is arranged inside the end case (6), and the end case (6) is secured to the battery by screws (12) with a screw head (12a) extending through and engaging with the end case (6) at both ends and tips of the screw (12) being engaged into the end face (3) at both ends of the battery (1). This achieves a compact battery pack with a reduced connection resistance, while achieving both high reliability and productivity.
Abstract:
Constructing a battery pack by: providing a resin sheet (40) to cover a release opening (20a) of a safety vent (20) formed on a sealing plate (23); integrating a rechargeable battery (2) and a circuit substrate (3) with a primary molding (11) by filing a resin between the rechargeable battery (2) and the circuit substrate (3); and then forming a secondary molding (12). In such constructed battery pack, an ejected gas, at the operation of the safety vent (20) of the battery pack, is externally released through an interface between the resin and metal.
