摘要: A brake control system includes: a friction brake unit for generating a friction braking force; a regenerative brake unit for generating a regenerative braking force; and a control unit for controlling the regenerative and friction brake units based on a regenerative target value and a friction target value defined based on a target deceleration, and for controlling a braking force by selecting one of a plurality of control modes including both a regeneration permission mode in which a total braking force is generated by the regenerative and friction braking forces, and a regeneration prohibition mode in which the target deceleration is generated by the friction braking force. In the permission mode, the control unit generates the total force by providing a delay, while in the prohibition mode, the control unit provides a delay smaller than the above delay to the friction braking force or does not provide a delay.

摘要: A system including: a liquid-pressure source device that can supply working fluid to a brake device; and an ABS valve device. The system executes a first control in which a supply pressure of the working fluid becomes a target supply pressure and a second control for making the supply pressure fall within the target range. In this system, when the valve device is not being operated, the first control is executed. When the valve device is being operated, the second control is normally operated, and when the supply pressure is higher than a threshold value, the first control is executed. Where completion of the operation of the valve device is estimated, the system performs at least one of reducing the threshold value, reducing an upper limit value of the target range, increasing an electric power supplied to a pressure-reduce linear valve during the first control when the valve device is being operated, and reducing the target supply pressure.

摘要: A brake control apparatus comprises: a braking force applying mechanism that brakes a wheel by pressing a friction member upon supply of a working fluid; and a control portion that computes a target value set for controlling the pressure of the working fluid by utilizing a detected temperature of the friction member so as to restrain fluctuations of the effect of the brake caused by temperature changes of the friction member. The control portion restricts the utilization of the detected temperature in the computation of the target value in case a decline of the detection accuracy of the friction member temperature is predicted to restrain the influence of the decline of the estimation accuracy of the friction member temperature on the braking force control.

摘要: An optical transmitter generates a transmission signal having a frame as a unit, the frame including a signal pilot signal with fixed amplitude and phase and two data bits to output the generated signal into a transmission line. In a receiver, a splitter splits the signal light from the transmission line. An optical delay delays the signal light for a 1-bit period. A first combiner combines the signal light from the transmission line and the output signal light from the optical delay. A photodetector converts the combined light into an electrical signal. A 3-bit optical delay, a second combiner, a BPF, and an oscillator generate a frame-timing signal. A gate separates a data from the output from the photodetector under the control of a gate control unit. A binary discriminator binary-discriminates the output signal from the gate.

摘要: An optical transmitter splits a linear polarization optical carrier into a TE wave and a TM wave. One of the TE wave and the TM wave is phase-modulated with a transmission data so as to generate a phase-modulated signal. The phase-modulated signal and the other one of the TE wave and the TM wave are coupled with a linear polarization and output into an optical transmission line. An optical receiver splits a light input from the optical transmission line into the TE wave and the TM wave. The TM wave or TE wave is converted into the TE wave or TM wave to interfere with the TE wave or TM wave. The interfered signal light is converted into an electric signal for restoration of the data.

摘要: In an optical amplifier apparatus for amplifying an incident signal light having wavelengths of 1.06 &mgr;m band, a first optical isolator makes an incident signal light pass therethrough in one direction from an input end to an output end. An optical fiber includes a core mainly composed of silica glass and doped with a predetermined rare-earth element and the other elements, and a cladding of silica glass, and transfers in a single mode the signal light output from the first optical isolator. An optical multiplexer multiplexes an excitation light having an excitation wavelength of 0.8 &mgr;m band with the signal light transferred by the optical fiber, by outputting the excitation light to the optical fiber, and further transfers and outputs the signal light having wavelengths of 1.06 &mgr;m band amplified by induced emission in the optical fiber due to the rare-earth element excited by the excitation light. Further, a second optical isolator makes the signal light outputted from the optical multiplexer pass therethrough in one direction from an input end thereof to an output end thereof, and outputs the signal light as an amplified signal light.

摘要: In a light source for generating light containing multiple wavelengths substantially uniform in intensity, a wavelength demultiplexing element 10 (for example, waveguide-type wavelength selecting filter) demultiplexes input light into a plurality of wavelengths &lgr;1 through &lgr;32. Optical amplifiers 14-1 through 14-32 amplify outputs of the element 10 and applies them to input ports of a wavelength multiplexing element 12. The wavelength multiplexing element 12 wavelength-multiplexes their input. Output of the wavelength multiplexing element 12 is applied to a fiber coupler 16 which, in turn, applies one of its outputs to the wavelength demultiplexing element 10. The optical amplifiers 14 have a gain larger by approximately 10 dB than the loss in the optical loop made of the element 10, optical amplifier 14, element 12 and fiber coupler 16. The other output of the fiber coupler 16 is wavelength-multiplex light containing wavelengths &lgr;1 through &lgr;32.
