Abstract: A method for operating a motor vehicle, which includes a drive system, including an electric drive machine, a friction braking system and an actuating element. The actuating element is continuously movable between a first end state and a second end state, a position of the actuating element in the first end state corresponding to a percentage value of 0%, and the position of the actuating element in the second end state corresponding to a percentage value of 100%. An acceleration torque for the motor vehicle is predefined if the positon has a percentage value that is greater than a predefined threshold value, and a deceleration torque for the motor vehicle being predefined if the position has a percentage value that is less than the threshold value. The friction braking system is activated in such a way that the friction braking system generates at least partially the predefined deceleration torque.

Abstract: In exemplary embodiments, methods and systems are provided that include: sensors configured to obtain sensor data for a vehicle having both friction braking and regenerative braking capabilities and coupled to a trailer, the sensor data including: friction braking data as to a vehicle friction braking force for the vehicle; and regenerative braking sensor data as to a vehicle regenerative braking force for the vehicle; and a processor coupled to the sensors and configured to at least facilitate controlling braking of the trailer by providing trailer braking force, via instructions provided by the processor, based on both the friction braking data and the regenerative braking sensor data, with a sensitivity toward the vehicle regenerative braking force such that the trailer braking force is affected differently by the vehicle regenerative braking force versus the vehicle friction braking force.

Abstract: A vehicle includes a powertrain having an electric machine configured to power driven wheels, an accelerator pedal, and friction brakes. A vehicle controller is programmed to, with the vehicle being in a one-pedal driving mode: in response to a braking torque capacity of the powertrain exceeding a target braking torque that is based on a position of the accelerator pedal, command a torque, that is equal to the target braking torque, from the powertrain such that the vehicle is slowed using the powertrain without application of the friction brakes, and, in response to the braking torque capacity of the powertrain being less than the target braking torque, command torques from the powertrain and the friction brakes such that the target braking torque is satisfied and the vehicle is slowed using the powertrain and the friction brakes.

Abstract: A vehicle brake system and method for increasing the brake pressure in a first wheel brake cylinder and for limiting the brake pressure in a second wheel brake cylinder of a vehicle brake system. The method includes increasing a first brake pressure in the first wheel brake cylinder by controlling/holding a wheel inlet valve in its open state and controlling/holding a first wheel outlet valve in its closed state, and limiting an increase of a second brake pressure in the second wheel brake cylinder during the transfer of brake fluid into the first wheel brake cylinder by controlling/holding a second wheel inlet valve in its closed state and controlling a second wheel outlet valve into its open state. The second wheel outlet valve is controlled with a pulse width-modulated signal so that during the transfer of brake fluid, the second wheel outlet valve is permanently in its open state.

Abstract: According to at least one embodiment, the present disclosure provides an electrohydraulic brake system including main brake assemblies, electronic parking brakes (EPBs), a main control unit, and a redundancy control unit (RCU). The main brake assemblies generate a braking force in one or more front wheels and one or more rear wheels of a vehicle. The electronic parking brakes (EPBs) generate a braking force to one of the front wheels and rear wheels. The main control unit is configured to control the operation of the main brake assembly. The redundancy control unit (RCU) is configured to control the operation of the electronic parking brake. Here, the redundancy control unit performs, upon determining that a malfunction occurs in a braking function of the main control unit, a slip control on the vehicle by using the electronic parking brake based on signals from one or more wheel speed sensors.

Abstract: A vehicle includes a regenerative generator on a front wheel. A braking control device includes an actuator that applies a front wheel torque and a rear wheel torque, and a controller that individually adjusts the front wheel torque and the rear wheel torque. The controller is configured to determine the front wheel torque and the rear wheel torque to zero when a regenerative braking force Fg generated by the regenerative generator has not reached a maximum regenerative force Fx which is a generatable maximum value. On the other hand, the controller is configured to increase the rear wheel torque from zero before increasing the front wheel torque from zero when the regenerative braking force Fg reaches the maximum regenerative force Fx.
