摘要: A rotary developing device for an image forming apparatus includes a plurality of rotary developing units accommodating a powder developer and being supported around a common axis, and a plurality of toner cartridges corresponding to the plurality of rotary developing units for supplying toner to the plurality of rotary developing units. Each rotary developing unit is moved to a developing position facing a latent image carrier by the rotation about the common axis and an electrostatic latent image formed on the latent image carrier is developed. The plurality of toner cartridges are connected with the plurality of rotary developing units so as to rotate together, and a toner outlet of the toner cartridge is disposed such that the toner is supplied to the respective rotary developing unit by the force of gravity on the toner accommodated in the respective toner cartridge at the time of rotational movement of the toner cartridge.

摘要: A revolver type developing device for an image forming apparatus. A rotary body is mounted on a shaft and has a plurality of developing units mounted thereon. The developing units are arranged around the shaft, and each stores a powdery developer and accommodates a developer transport member for supplying the developer to an image carrier. A drive source rotates the rotary body to bring any one of the developing units to a developing position where the developing unit faces the image carrier. A one-way transmission mechanism is located on a drive transmission path extending from the drive source to the rotary body for preventing a drive force from being imparted from the rotary body to the drive source. When the rotary body tends to rotate or vibrate due to an external force or vibration, the rotation or vibration is prevented from reaching the drive source.

摘要: A variable power optical system having a mechanical system capable of moving a lens holder and a mirror holder having a predetermined relationship. A driving force moves the lens holder and the mirror holder. The movement of the mirror holder is controlled so as to control the magnification power of the optical system. The present optical system permits a widened power range to be employed without making the total capacity of a machine large.

摘要: A method for generating an underliquid shock pressure comprises the steps of igniting a combustible mixture gas to form detonation waves, imploding the detonation waves in their advancing direction, propagating a pressure obtained by imploding the detonation waves to a liquid, and converting the pressure to an underliquid pressure which is applied to a workpiece. The pressure obtained by imploding the detonation waves may be applied directly to an elastic rubber body, thus converting the pressure to an underelastomer shock pressure, which is then applied to the workpiece via the elastic body. An apparatus for generating an underliquid shock pressure comprises a combustion chamber whose cross-sectional area decreases from one end toward the other end of the chamber, an ignition chamber to which fuel is fed and in which a spark plug is positioned, a plurality of guidance paths extending from the ignition chamber and communicating with one end of the combustion chamber, each of the guidance paths having substantially the same length, and a pressure medium chamber connected to an opening of the other end of the combustion chamber having the smallest cross-sectional area. The pressure at the smallest cross-sectional area end of the combustion chamber is applied to a liquid to convert the pressure into underliquid shock pressure, which is then applied to a workpiece either directly or via an elastic body interposed between the liquid and the workpiece.

摘要: A color separating device in a color copier includes a predetermined number of filter frames which carry different color filters corresponding to the colors to be separated and which can be moved between a retracted position in which the color filters are retracted from an optical path of an imaging optical system of the copier and an operative position in which the color filters are located in the optical path, the direction of movement being perpendicular to the optical path, guides for guiding the movement of the filter frames, springs for continuously biasing the filter frames toward the retracted position, an endless belt which can be selectively engaged by the filter frames to move the filter frames, and a motor for intermittently rotating the endless belt. The endless belt has driving projections and the filter frames have associated abutments which can be selectively engaged by the driving projections to successively bring the color filters into an operative position against the springs during one rotation of the endless belt.

摘要: An accumulator type of fuel injection nozzle having an injection valve, a first electromagnet for initiating fuel injection, and a second electromagnet for controlling the lift amount of the injection valve is provided with an energizing arrangement which enables effective fuel injection control but which greatly reduces the risk of burning damage to the electromagnets. The amp-turn characteristics of the first electromagnet coil provide for a rapid start-up time wherein the peak magnetic flux is reached relatively quickly. In contrast, the amp-turn characteristics of the second electromagnet coil provide for a more gradual start-up time so that peak magnetic flux is reached more gradually. The second electromagnet coil is also adapted to achieve a relatively large magnetic flux without the need for large current supply. In operation, when the second electromagnet is energized, such energization is started before energization of the first electromagnet for a particular fuel injection cycle.

摘要: An accumulator type of fuel injection nozzle having an injection valve that is controlled by an electromagnet within the accumulator chamber includes a feeder wire structure formed axially in the outer housing assembly of the injection nozzle for energizing the electromagnet. This feeder wire structure includes one or more axially extending wire passages formed in the outer housing assembly, preferably in a structure through which is formed a fuel inlet conduit, constructed so as to withstand the high pressure within the accumulator chamber, to provide a sufficient seal without increasing the outer diameter of the injection nozzle, and to provide easy installation of the injection nozzle without interference from the engine. One or more feeder wires are contained within the wire passages for energizing the electromagnet.
