Abstract: A compound having a structure of Formula 1: is disclosed. In Formula 1, each one of X1 to X16 is independently CR or N; at least two adjacent of X1 to X16 are CR; at least one pair of adjacent Rs is fused to one of the Ring A, Ring B, Ring C, or Ring D; each instance of Y1, Y2, Y3, and Y4 is independently CR1 or N; each instance of Z is independently CR2R3, NR4, O, S or Se; each instance of R, R1, R2, R3, and R4 are independently selected from a variety of substituents; and any adjacent substituents of R, R1, R2, R3, and R4 are optionally joined or fused into a ring. Formulations and devices, such as an OLEDs, that include the compound of Formula 1 are also described.

Abstract: Electronic displays including organic light emitting diodes having an organic layer including a compound including a ligand having the formula: is disclosed. In these formulas, each R1, R2, and R3 is independently selected from hydrogen, alkyl, and aryl; at least one of R1 and R2 is a branched alkyl containing at least 4 carbon atoms, where the branching occurs at a position further than the benzylic position; where R1 and R3 are mono-, di-, tri-, tetra-, or no substitutions; and R2 is mono-, di-, or no substitutions. Emissive layers including a host material doped with these heteroleptic iridium complexes are also disclosed.

Abstract: A compound having a structure of Formula I: is provided. In the structure of Formula I, each one of X1 to X16 is independently CRX or N; each RX and R are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, deuterium, halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, heteroalkyl, arylalkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, amino, silyl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, heteroalkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, heteroaryl, acyl, carbonyl, carboxylic acids, ester, nitrile, isonitrile, sulfanyl, sulfinyl, sulfonyl, phosphino, carbazole, azacarbazole, dibenzofuran, dibenzothiophene, dibenzoselenophene, azadibenzofuran, azadibenzothiophene, azadibenzoselenophene, triphenylene, azatriphenylene, and combinations thereof; and any adjacent RX can join to form fused or unfused rings. Formulations and devices, such as an OLEDs, that include the compound containing a structure of Formula I are also described.
