摘要： A personal computer has a casing that includes a rear wall formed having an aperture, and a first expansion connector is located in the casing so as to face the aperture. A connector cover for opening and closing the aperture is swingably provided on the rear wall of the casing. An expansion adapter to which the computer is connected includes a carrying surface, on which the casing is detachably mounted, and a first relay connector located adjacent to the carrying surface and connectable with the first expansion connector. Provided on the carrying surface is a pushing projection that engages the connector cover, thereby causing it to swing to an open position, when the casing placed on the carrying surface is moved toward the first relay connector.

摘要： A process is provided for producing a compression molded article of a lignocellulose type material by use of an organic polyisocyanate compound as a binder. The process comprises carrying out adhesion by use of the following components (A) an organic polyisocyanate, (B) an aqueous emulsion of a wax having a melting point ranging from 50.degree. C. to 160.degree. C., and (C) an organic phosphate ester derivative and optionally (D) water. The compression molded article can readily be released from the mold, and has excellent physical properties.

摘要： A video signal reproduction or record/reproduction apparatus comprises a first playback circuit reproducing a normal video signal from a recording medium and outputting a reproduced normal video signal to a TV receiver, and a second playback circuit reproducing a high definition video signal from the recording medium and outputting a reproduced high definition video signal to the TV receiver. The type of a reproduced video signal is judged. When the judgement result indicates that the type of the reproduced video signal is a normal video signal, the first playback circuit is allowed to output the reproduced normal video signal to the TV receiver while the second playback circuit is enforced to mute the reproduced high definition video signal. In a disabled or transition period during which the type of the reproduced video signal cannot be judged, the first and second playback circuits select an output video signal on the basis of a judgement result judged immediately before such a disabled or transition period.

摘要： A portable computer comprises a base unit to which a keyboard and a display unit are attached. First and second batteries, functioning as a drive power source, are attached to the base unit. An optional component may be attached to the base unit in place of the second battery. The optional component, for example, can be a modem device to be connected to a telephone line or an additional memory unit. In the base unit, there is formed a first mounting recess to which the first battery is detachably attached, and a second mounting recess to which the second battery or the optional component is selectively detachably attached. A connector as provided entirely within the base unit to permit connection to the component mounted in the second mounting recess. When the optional component is mounted in the second mounting recess, an adaptor interconnects the connector and the optional component.

摘要： A pocket computer includes a base body having a battery pack storage area with an access opening section defined in the peripheral wall. A battery pack is loaded and unloaded into and out of the battery pack storage area. The battery pack has electrodes and an engaging section provided at its lower wall. Contacts 31 are provided in the battery pack storage area in a manner to contact with the electrodes of the battery pack and to impart a force to the battery pack in a direction to push the battery pack toward the access opening section. Engaging members are provided in the bottom wall of the battery pack storage area to be latched and unlatched to and from the associated engaging section of the battery pack 25. 摘要： A portable computer including a base unit having a keyboard, and a display unit. In the display unit, there is a leg portion having a cable guide passage. In an upper surface of the base unit, there is formed a leg mounting portion receiving the leg portion and a mounting recess, which is adjacent to the leg mounting portion for attaching a battery thereto. The leg mounting portion has a wall with an opening section opening into the base unit. The opening section is covered with a cover. The cover has a cover wall forming a cable through hole in cooperation with the wall of the leg mounting portion. A cable is wired between the cable through hole and the cable guide passage. The cable electrically connects the base unit and the display unit. In the mounting recess, there is arranged a contact terminal electrically contacting the battery. The contact terminal is attached to the cover arranged between the leg mounting portion and the mounting recess.
