    摘要: Receivers and methods are provided for polarization mode dispersion compensation in multi-level coded-modulation schemes using a BLAST algorithm and iterative polarization cancellation. A receiver includes a vertical Bell Laboratories Layered Space-Time Architecture (V-BLAST) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) detector configured to receive input sequences and partially cancel polarization interference with respect to the input sequences to output symbol estimates for the input sequences. The receiver further includes one or more low-density parity-check (LDPC) decoders coupled to the V-BLAST OFDM detector configured to receive channel bit reliabilities and output code words. The channel bit reliabilities are indirectly calculated from the symbol estimates. The one or more LDPC decoders iteratively provide extrinsic soft information feedback to the V-BLAST OFDM detector to compensate for the polarization interference.

    摘要: Oil seed protein isolates, particularly canola protein isolate, are produced continuously from oil seed meals, preferably at a high purity level of at least about 100 wt % (Nx 6.25), by a process wherein oil seed protein is continuously extracted from oil seed meal, the resulting protein solution is continuously concentrated, preferably to a protein content of at least about 200 g/L, and the concentrated protein solution is continuously mixed with chilled water having a temperature below about 15° C. to form protein micellar, which are settled in the settling vessel to provide a protein micellar mass (PMM) while supernatant overflows the vessel. The PMM, when accumulated to a desired degree, may be separated from supernatant and dried. The supernatant may be processed to recover additional oil seed protein isolate.

    摘要: An authentication device and a mobile device work together for redeeming an electronic promotion code at a point of sale. Upon receipt of an electronic promotion code, the authentication device encrypts the electronic promotion code and transmits the encrypted promotion code to the mobile device. In response, the mobile device decrypts the encrypted promotion code and determines whether the decrypted promotion code satisfies one or more predefined conditions. If so, the mobile device displays a message, indicating a successful redemption of the promotion code at the point of sale. In some implementations, the message includes a confirmation code, which is provided to the authentication device for generating a transaction log record. In some implementations, the mobile device also generates a separate transaction log record for the promotion code and transmits the transaction log record to a remote server for further processing.
