摘要: The absorbent in accordance with the present invention is limited in at least two of the following requirements: ventilation resistance, absorbency under no load and/or under load, weight mean particle diameter, and water-soluble components. The absorbent exhibits a 24 g/g or more absorbency under a 2.0 kPa load and a 50 kPa·sec/m or less ventilation resistance under a 4.9 kPa load in a wet state. The absorbing product in accordance with the present invention is based on this absorbent and therefore exhibits improved ventilating properties when worn and relatively little wet back of water-based liquids, providing a further improved sense of comfort to users wearing the absorbing product.

摘要: The invention provides a water-absorbing agent, which has high absorption capacity and excellent absorption efficiency under increased pressure and can display excellent water absorption properties when used for sanitary materials even if the resin concentration of a water-absorbent resin is high. The water-absorbing agent has an absorption capacity of 30 (g/g) or more and the below-defined absorption efficiency of 0.7 or more under increased pressure. This agent can be obtained by heating in the presence of a surface-crosslinking agent a water-absorbent resin having an absorption capacity of 40 (g/g) or more and an amount of an eluting component of 1 wt % or less relative to the water-absorbent resin, or by: polymerizing a water-absorbent resin in the presence of a chain transfer agent; treating the polymerized resin with a hydrophilic solution; and heating the treated resin in the presence of a surface-crosslinking agent. ##EQU1##

摘要: An absorbing agent has a diffusing absorbency under pressure of not less than 25 g/g when 60 minutes elapsed after absorption is started, and a water-soluble content is above 0 percent by weight and not more than 7 percent by weight. The absorbing agent is prepared by surface-crosslinking a precursor of the absorbing agent obtained by performing an aqueous solution polymerization of a hydrophilic unsaturated monomer having not less than 50 mole percent neutralized acrylic acid as a main component using a specific crosslinking agent having a main component composed of an ester compound of a specific polyhydroxy alcohol and an unsatuated carboxylic acid, and a high-boiling component having at least two alcohol structures in a molecule as a specific ratio. As a result, an absorbing agent having excellent properties such as the diffusing absorbency under pressure is high, the water soluble content is small, and the amount of wet back of the aqueous liquid after a long period of time is small, water absorbency under pressure can be stably maintained for a long period of time can be achieved.

摘要: Provided is a process for producing a water-absorbing resin powder which contains a given amount of water added thereto, has a low dust content, and has high material properties. When a water-absorbing resin powder which has undergone surface crosslinking is produced on an industrial scale, various problems concerning production are eliminated and a long-term stable operation is possible without causing a deterioration in the material properties of the resin. Even when the process is continued over a long period, the material properties are stabilized (decrease in standard deviation) or improved (improvement in AAP). The process for producing a water-absorbing resin comprises, in the following order, a first classification step for classifying a water-absorbing resin, a surface crosslinking step after the classification, a water addition step for adding water to the water-absorbing resin powder after or during the surface crosslinking, a second classification step, and a conveying step.

摘要: Disclosed is a method for producing a water absorbent resin, by which a surface-crosslinked water absorbent resin having excellent physical properties can be efficiently obtained at low cost, while assuring high productivity. When the production scale is increased to a continuous production on a huge scale (for example, 1 t/hr or more), the physical properties are improved and stabilized (for example, standard deviation of the physical properties is reduced) by a surface-crosslinking treatment, and the absorption against pressure (AAP) and liquid permeability (SFC) are further improved. Specifically disclosed is a method for continuously producing a polyacrylic acid (salt)-type water absorbent resin powder, which comprises: a step of preparing an aqueous monomer solution using an acrylic acid (salt); a step of polymerizing the aqueous monomer solution; a shredding step of a hydrous gel-like crosslinked polymer during or after the polymerization; a step of drying the thus-obtained particulate hydrous gel-like crosslinked polymer; a step of crushing and classifying the dried product; a step of heating and surface-crosslinking after the classification; and a step of cooling after the surface-crosslinking. In the method for producing a polyacrylic acid (salt)-type water absorbent resin, the internal area of the cooling device that is used in the cooling step is 0.25-0.95 times the internal area of the heating device that is used in the surface-crosslinking step.

摘要: Reversed phase suspension polymerization is allowed while controlling content of minor components in monomer, particularly controlling a content of acetic acid and propionic acid being not higher than 500 ppm, controlling a content of acrylic acid dimer being not higher than 1000 ppm, in acrylic acid. Cross-linked polymer obtained by the polymerization is subjected to a surface crosslinking treatment without substantially using an organic solvent, and under heating at high temperature (150° C. or higher and 250° C. or lower). Thereafter, agglomeration is carried out without substantially using an organic solvent. Accordingly, a particulate water-absorbing agent including a water-absorbing resin having superior property, and being suited for practical applications at high concentrations in absorbing cores such as a diaper and the like without generation of any odor of the organic solvent can be obtained because no volatile organic compound is included.
