摘要: An information processing apparatus obtains a distance that an input pen is moved in terms of the number of dots covered on a display screen, and from that number, judges whether a pen stroke is a gesture entry or a pointing entry. When the input pen is moved over more than a predetermined number of dots, e.g., eight dots, gesture recognition processing is performed. If the input pen is moved less than that number of dots, a pointing instruction is recognized, and pointing processing is performed. If a gesture is recognized, a recognized gesture editing command and a feature point of the gesture command are stored in RAM. Since an input by the input pen is judged a gesture entry or a pointing entry according to the number of dots over which the input pen is moved, a switch is not required to change data/instruction entry modes which reduces cost and improves handling.

摘要: In order to determine the seismic vulnerability of a structure, a vibration sensor is placed on each of the top surface of a layer of the structure and the ground surface near the structure so as to record vibrations. A seismic vulnerability data processor assumes a transfer function of vibration of the top surface of the layer of the structure based on a spectral ratio between the vibration recorded on the top surface of the layer of the structure and the vibration recorded on the ground surface, thereby obtaining a predominant frequency and amplification factor of vibration of the top surface of the layer of the structure. A seismic vulnerability index of the layer of the structure resulting from a deformation of the layer is obtained based on the obtained predominant frequency and amplification factor of vibration of the top surface of the layer of the structure and on the height of the layer of the structure. This seismic vulnerability index is multiplied by an assumed seismic acceleration so as to obtain a maximum shear strain of the layer of the structure upon being subjected to an earthquake.

摘要: The soundness of a block-shaped structure is evaluated by disposing one set of at least two three-way sensors on a structure, measuring microtremors, determining the contribution factor of rocking vibration, which occupies part of overall vibration, based upon the results of microtremor measurement, and determining extent of rocking vibration at an arbitrary position of the block-shaped structure based upon the contribution factor. Rocking vibration becomes more prevalent as the state of support afforded by the block-shaped structure becomes more unstable. Accordingly, if rocking vibration becomes dominant and exceeds unity, this fact can be used to evaluate the soundness of the block-shaped structure to collapse.

摘要: A method for increasing performance in a limited switch dynamic logic (LSDL) circuit includes precharging a dynamic node during a precharge phase of a first and second evaluation clock signal. The dynamic node is evaluated to a first logic value in response to one or more first input signals of a first evaluation tree during an evaluation phase of the first evaluation clock signal. The dynamic node is evaluated to a second logic value in response one or more second input signals of a second evaluation tree during an evaluation phase of the second evaluation clock signal. A signal of the LSDL circuit is outputted in response to the dynamic node according to an output latch clock signal.
