摘要: A remote operated vehicle for selectively harvesting a target species in an aquatic environment is disclosed. The vehicle may include a chassis defining a central channel and being configured to hold a plurality of attachments mounted to the chassis. The plurality of attachments may include at least one thruster configured to propel the vehicle in the aquatic environment, and at least one electronics containment unit configured to store one or more electronic devices for controlling an operation of the vehicle. The vehicle may also include a containment unit connected to the chassis and configured to store the target species during harvesting, and at least one stunning device configured to stun the target species. The vehicle may further include at least one suction device positioned at a rear portion of the chassis and being configured to generate flow in a direction extending through the channel to cause the target species to flow into the containment unit.

摘要: The apparatus is an attachment device for connecting a fishing line to a fishing hook without tying a knot. The apparatus is cylindrical metal tube configuration. The body of the tube is crimped 90 degrees starting from the center of the tube to each end as to restrict the fishing hood, when inserted, from completely penetrating through the tube. The fishing line is first inserted completely through the tube. The fishing hook, eye end, is then inserted. Once both the fishing line and fishing hook are inserted, a crimping tool is applied to create and interference fit thus locking the fishing line and fishing hook inside the tube.

摘要: The threading apparatus and methods of threading various types of fishing hooks and lures of this invention provide convenience and ease of use applicable to a wide range of hook sizes, shapes, and types. The threading apparatus is fabricated as a single molded part body made from an elastomeric material such as TPE with molded sectors including: slotted clip sector, chamfered frustoconical sector, non-chamfered frustoconical sector, slotted hook eyelet positioning curb, an at least one set of elongated hook shank holding ribs, and an exit sector. The invention provides simplified and enhanced threading operations which include hooks with particularly small eyelets or thin shank diameters, weighted hooks, and for fly hooks (lure hooks) or bodied hooks with particularly short exposed shank length. The facility for enhanced threading operations relies on the molded elastomeric material properties of the threading apparatus body including a durometer range comprehending flexibility without significant deformation memory.

Some embodiments of the present invention propose utilizing a known length of a marker within a camera view or picture to determine the length of the fish also shown in the same camera view or picture. This determination could be performed in real-time or later remotely. Further, the measurement of the length of the fish is reliable because it is not dependent on a zoom value or angle of the camera and there is no required measurement device. Further, the technique is easy to use and can be performed with a camera phone or tablet.
