Abstract:
Household tissue paper is obtained by applying a ply process to two or more sheets of base paper. First embossments and second embossments, arranged around the first embossments, are formed on an entire surface of the household tissue paper, a shape of a protruding part of each of the second embossments differing from a shape of a protruding part of each of the first embossments. Hence, because a contact area with an object to be cleaned or the like can be increased, it is possible to enhance surface strength of the household tissue paper being embossed and to enhance wiping performance.
Abstract:
Products having improved caliper, sheet bulk and absorbency and methods for making those products are described. The method comprises producing a multi-ply product having different emboss patterns on each ply where the emboss patterns are made up of emboss elements having an aspect ratio of from about 1 to about 2.
Abstract:
A method for producing partially embossed blanks is disclosed. The method is to provide a continuous web of an embossable material, and guide it between two cylinders which emboss its surface. The embossed web is fed to a stamping device to punch blanks from the web. One of the embossing cylinders has a marking which is readable by a first sensor. The first sensor reads the position of the marking and produces a signal which triggers a printing device to produce a print mark on the web identifying the position of the embossing. The print mark is read by a second sensor which produces a signal for controlling and adjusting a feeding distance by which feed rolls supply the web to the stamping device that punches blanks from the web in register with the partial embossing of the blank. A device for conducting the method is also disclosed.
Abstract:
To provide a method of producing water-disintegrable paper capable of addressing a disadvantage of adhesion of a base-paper sheet to an embossing apparatus when the base-paper sheet impregnated with a water-soluble binder is embossed, achieving simple manufacturing and low manufacturing cost, and minimizing the likelihood of paper powder remaining on a dry surface of a cleaned object after use.To produce water-disintegrable paper, a base-paper sheet 2 in a non-wet state before a water-soluble binder is impregnated is embossed in order to form a bulking unit 17, made up of a plurality of uneven elements 12, on the base-paper sheet 2; a water-soluble binder solution 5 is sprayed to the base-paper sheet 2 having the bulking unit 17 formed, from outside of a face of the base-paper sheet 2 to impregnate the water-soluble binder solution 5 into the base-paper sheet 2; the base-paper sheet 2 impregnated with the water-soluble binder solution 5 is dried; the base-paper sheet 2 is folded after the drying; and an aqueous chemical solution is sprayed to the base-paper sheet 2 thus being folded to impregnate the aqueous chemical solution into the base-paper sheet 2.
Abstract:
A method of producing water-disintegrable paper, including: using a base-paper supplied with no water to emboss the base-paper sheet in a non-wet state to form a bulking unit, made up of a plurality of uneven elements, on the base-paper sheet; supplying the water-soluble binder to the base-paper sheet from outside of a face of the base-paper sheet after the embossing process to impregnate the water-soluble binder into the base-paper sheet; drying the base-paper sheet after the binder impregnation process; folding the base-paper sheet after the drying process; and supplying an aqueous chemical and/or a crosslinker to the base-paper sheet before or after the folding process to impregnate the aqueous chemical into the base-paper sheet.

Abstract:
A fibrous product (10, 20, 20b, 30), especially tissue paper product, non-woven products or a hybrid thereof, and preferably hygiene and cleaning product has at least one first ply (42; 62; 84; 104) with at least one embossing pattern including embossed depressions starting from a base plane of the ply; the embossed pattern being characterized by the following features: the embossing pattern has a minimum motive surface area of at least 3 cm×3 cm; the pattern includes a high number of embossed depressions which are sized and/or positioned such as to form a motive element covering the motive surface area; wherein at least some of the embossed depressions are sized and/or positioned such that minimum distances between pairs of consecutively arranged embossed depression vary. A method for producing such a fibrous product is also described.
Abstract:
A paper structure is disclosed, which comprises: a paper substrate; an adhesive layer, formed on the paper substrate; and a polymer layer; wherein the polymer layer is configured with a plurality of embossed elements and is disposed on the adhesive layer for allowing the spaces formed between the embossed structures and the paper substrate to be filled by the adhesive layer. In addition, the flexibility of a carton box that is formed using the aforesaid paper structure can be enhanced through the cooperation between the embossed structures and the adhesive layer filled inside the recesses of the embossed structures, and thus the ability of the carton box to absorb collision impact can be improved.
Abstract:
The invention proposes an embossed sheet (10) comprising at least one ply (12) of tissue having an embossing pattern comprising at least one series of protuberances (18) formed projecting from one surface of the said ply (12) of tissue, and at least one ply joined to the said at least one ply (12) of tissue and located opposite the said surface of the ply (14) of water-soluble material, characterized in that the ply (14) of water-soluble material is joined to the said at least one ply (12) of tissue at the summits (18a) of at least part of the protuberances (18). The invention also proposes a method for manufacturing such a multi-ply sheet (10).
