Abstract:
A vehicle system includes a processing device programmed to receive a first user input signal and activate a car wash mode in response to receiving the first user input signal. Activating the car wash mode includes temporarily disabling at least one vehicle safety system. A method includes receiving the first user input signal, activating a vehicle car wash mode in response to receiving the first user input signal, receiving a second user input signal, and deactivating the car wash mode in response to receiving the second user input signal.
Abstract:
A method for checking the braking force in a vehicle includes adjusting a brake piston with a vehicle hydraulic brake that has a braking force booster and with an electromechanical braking device that has a brake motor so as to generate a braking force. The hydraulic braking medium volume that corresponds to the displacement of the brake piston via the brake motor is compared to a hydraulic reference volume.

Abstract:
A trailer electronic braking system includes a braking device capable of generating a braking force on a wheel on the trailer, a brake force into the brake cylinders being controllable by a braking ECU. The braking ECU is connected to a standards compliant communication bus on said trailer and is adapted to receive data inputs from sensors on the trailer. An interface to trailer electronics and a communications interface are also provided. The brake system is further adapted to transmit a trailer identifier such as an SSID, such that the trailer identifier can be paired with a further device, such as a mobile telephone associated with a tractor driver, the further device having previously been provided with the trailer identifier.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle braking method wherein the vehicle includes a brake operating unit generating a braking signal based on brake pedal travel. The method includes the step of measuring the vehicle deceleration and pedal position during vehicle braking and determining an actual ratio between the measured deceleration and pedal position. In addition, a target ratio is provided based on vehicle deceleration for a defined pedal position. Wherein the actual ratios compared with the target ratio and a braking adjustment is provided when the actual ratio deviates from the target ratio.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a signal processing apparatus for a wheel speed sensor, which monitors a current input to a wheel speed sensor so as to prevent the current from being excessively supplied to the wheel speed sensor. That is, the present disclosure relates to the signal processing apparatus for a wheel speed sensor, which monitors the current input to the wheel speed sensor in a duplex manner. The signal processing apparatus for a wheel speed sensor include a sensor input terminal unit to which a sensing signal of a wheel speed sensor is input, and a normality determination block determining whether or not the sensing signal is normal.
Abstract:
An electronic control unit includes a braking/driving force control unit configured to control a braking/driving force of a vehicle based on a detected wheel speed, a wheel speed correcting unit configured to correct a detected wheel speed of a certain wheel based on the wheel speed and a wheel speed of another wheel, and a correction prohibiting unit configured to prohibit execution of a correction control of a wheel speed by the wheel speed correcting unit while travelling on a slope road. Whether or not a travelling path of an own vehicle is a slope road is desirably determined based on a difference between an estimated vehicle body acceleration/deceleration estimated from vehicle body speed information and a detected vehicle body acceleration/deceleration detected with a vehicle body front-back acceleration sensor, or based on an output value of a power source.
Abstract:
A brake system for a motor vehicle includes a first control module coupled to a first hydraulic brake circuit and a second hydraulic brake circuit. The first control module is configured to control fluid pressure within both the first hydraulic brake circuit and the second hydraulic brake circuit. A second control module coupled to the first hydraulic brake circuit and the second hydraulic brake circuit, wherein the second control module is configured to control fluid pressure within both the first hydraulic brake circuit and the second hydraulic brake circuit independent of the first control module. The first control module is disposed in series with the second control module in the first hydraulic brake circuit and the second hydraulic brake circuit.
Abstract:
Systems and methods disclosed herein may be useful for manual braking systems for use in, for example, an aircraft. A system is disclosed that allows for manual braking. For example, a system is provided comprising a brake handle, a potentiometer in mechanical communication with the brake handle, a mapping module in electrical communication with the potentiometer, wherein the mapping module receives an output voltage from the potentiometer, wherein the mapping module produces a braking command output.
