摘要: A paper feed unit, which is provided with a paper feed roller disposed such that an outer circumferential surface thereof contacts stacked sheets of paper so as to feed each sheet of paper by rotating, a separating pad having elasticity configured to press a sheet of paper being forwarded by the paper feed roller against the outer circumferential surface of the paper feed roller from a side of the sheet of paper opposite to the other side contacting the outer circumferential surface of the paper feed roller, a holder that supports the separating pad, and a biasing device that biases the holder so as to press the separating pad against the outer circumferential surface of the paper feed roller, for separating each sheet of paper from the stacked sheets by the rotation of the paper feed roller in cooperation with the separating pad and thus feeding the sheet of paper.

摘要: An ADF with simple structure includes an input tray and elastic film. The input tray is for receiving a document to be fed and the elastic film disposed upon the input tray is for supporting the document to be fed by bounce. The elastic film includes a jointing portion for fixing the elastic film onto the input tray and a supporting portion forming an angle with the input tray for supporting the document to be fed. The elastic film further includes a bending portion, wherein one end of the bending portion connects to the supporting portion and the other end of bending portion bends towards the input tray.

摘要: A sheet feeder unit capable of separately supplying cut sheets of any thickness or characteristics without causing any residual deformation. The pile of cut sheets 11 are advanced one by one with a pair of feeding rollers 31 contacting thereto from one side thereof. A friction member 33 of various configurations is disposed at various positions for separating the outermost cut sheet 11 from the other sheets by the frictional force of contact generated therebetween when the friction member is backed away by the advancing cut sheet 11.

A distance between an upstream end of the ink receiver and a nip position of the second roller pair is less than a length of a first-size sheet and greater than a length of a second-size sheet. The protrusion is disposed, in a widthwise direction, in a region through which the second-size sheet is conveyed.

摘要: A press roller spring frame is provided. The spring frame includes a frame body having a first section having an arcuate shape, a second section extending from the first section and having a substantially planar shape, a third section extending from the first section and having a substantially planar shape. The second and third sections are configured to oppose one another with the first section therebetween. The spring frame further includes a roller operatively coupled to the third section and configured to rotate about an axis. A compressive force may be applied to the roller to displace the third section closer to the second section, whereby the arcuate shape of the first member is compressed. The compression causes the first member to produce a spring force that resists the compressive force applied against the roller to keep the roller against the object applying the compressive force.

摘要: A sheet feeder includes a separation roller having a circumferential surface that contacts a first sheet to be fed first among stacked sheets and picks up the first sheet and one or more second sheets adjacent to the first sheet, a separation arm that is closer to the circumferential surface of the separation roller downstream in a feeding direction and configured to apply higher frictional resistance to the second sheets than the first sheet to feed the first sheet ahead of the second sheets, and a guide member including a guide portion that has a lower-friction surface than the separation arm and extends from the separation arm with a distal end thereof in contact with or close to the circumferential surface of the separation roller. The guide portion guides the first and second sheets along the circumferential surface of the separation roller.
