Abstract:
A method may be provided for controlling a laundry treating apparatus. A first speed rotating may control the drum to accelerate the drum to rotate at a first speed, a braking may apply a brake to stop the drum, a second speed accelerating may accelerate the drum to a second speed, a current sensing may sense a current being applied to the motor during the drum is accelerated to the second speed, and a laundry amount determining may determine a laundry amount based on the current sensed in the current sensing.
Abstract:
A diaper sprayer flow director and splash back guard including an impermeable, conical splash back guard having an open base and a truncated apex attachable to a diaper sprayer head, wherein water forcibly ejected from the diaper sprayer head is directable within the splash back guard to contact a target surface or object positioned proximal or in contact with the open base, whereby splash back effected during cleaning said target is contained interior to the splash back guard and contamination of surrounding and proximal objects and surfaces is avoidable.
Abstract:
Provided is a washing agent pump and a laundry treating apparatus having the same. The laundry treating apparatus may include a cabinet, a tub provided within the cabinet, a rotary tub provided within the tub in a rotatable manner, and a washing agent supply unit. The washing agent supply unit may include a storage container to store a liquid washing agent including a liquid detergent or a liquid softener, the storage container being slidably provided in the cabinet, a washing agent supply passage having one side connected to the storage container and another side connected to the tub, and a washing agent delivery device provided in the washing agent supply passage to deliver the liquid washing agent to the tub.
Abstract:
A method for reducing energy consumption by a medium heating device, the method comprising the step: scheduling an operation (501) of the first device (111) requiring heating of a first medium; scheduling an operation (502) of the second device (112) requiring heating of a second medium; the method being characterized in that it further comprises the steps of: sending (504), from the first device (111), information regarding its operation cycles and water parameters to the second device (112); rescheduling (505) operations of the liaised devices (111, 112) so that drain heat of the first medium is reused to heat a fresh intake of the second medium by the second device by means of a heat exchanger (160); instructing (506), the reprogrammed devices (111, 112) to start their operations according to the new schedule.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a washing machine that performs a washing course by heating wash water and a control method thereof. The method may include selecting a certain washing course from a plurality of washing courses, sensing an amount of laundry received in an inner tub and determining a wash water level required for main washing of the determined amount of laundry, supplying wash water up to a wash water level for generation of steam such that a portion of the laundry is moistened, the wash water level being higher than a bottom surface of the inner tub and lower than the wash water level for main washing, heating the wash water to a first set temperature and driving a wash water heater to generate steam from the wash water, supplying additional wash water up to the wash water level for main washing, and performing a main washing cycle.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for operating a laundry treating appliance having a tub and a rotatably wash basket, the method comprising draining at least a portion of a wash liquid, accelerating the wash basket, enabling the wash basket to decelerate and supplying a rinse liquid during at least a portion of the deceleration of the wash basket.
Abstract:
A multisensor employs an optical system that is modified by the index of refraction of fluid passing between a light emitter and light detector to successfully distinguish between air and water (of any turbidity) and between water of different turbidity values. The optical system may employ lenses contacting the fluid to change their focal length and thus to focus and defocus light on the light detector depending on an index of refraction of the fluid.
Abstract:
A control method of a washing machine may include supplying water to a predetermined unbalance induction water level into a wash tub configured to accommodate fabric, the wash tub being rotated about a vertical axis, rotating a pulsator inside the wash tub, sensing an amount of fabric, rotating the wash tub at a constant acceleration, determining unbalance based on a current value applied to a motor in a state in which a rotational speed of the wash tub falls in a given range and the sensed amount of fabric while the wash tub is rotated at the constant acceleration, and supplying water to a first water supply level into the wash tub when the unbalance is greater than a reference value, and supplying water to a second water supply level, which is higher than the first water supply level, when the unbalance is smaller than the reference value.
Abstract:
A washing machine is disclosed. The washing machine includes a pump that is configured to drain or circulate water and that comprises a motor that is configured to operate the pump. The washing machine further includes a motor driver that is configured to supply operation power to the motor. The washing machine further includes a motor controller that is configured to set a rotation speed of the motor and that is configured to supply, to the motor driver, a signal that controls the motor. The washing machine further includes a current sensor that is configured to measure a current supplied from the motor driver to the motor. The washing machine further includes a speed sensor. The washing machine further includes a water level sensor. The washing machine further includes a main controller that is configured to start or stop operation of the motor by supplying a control command.
