Abstract:
An end cap assembly for interlocking with an oil field mat usable to support trucks, equipment and personnel around a drilling rig. The end cap assembly having an elongated base layer, a base layer coupler, a top layer, a middle layer, a plurality of holes, a plurality of fasteners and a plurality of coupler fasteners. Each coupler fastener can be disposed through the holes in the board of the end cap assembly to form a base layer coupler to create a tri-layer oil field mat.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a road payment system with instant rainwater penetration and storing functions for protecting flood and a construction method thereof, which system comprises a plurality of lower blocks which each have a vertical engaging wing formed at a side of each lower block and a first through hole formed at a center region, with the neighboring lower blocks being engaged with each other in a vertical direction for preventing them from being separated in a horizontal direction; a plurality of intermediate layer blocks which are arranged spaced apart in a horizontal direction at the upper sides of the lower blocks and each have a second through hole in a vertical direction at a center region, with the neighboring intermediate layer blocks being engaged with each other; and a plurality of upper surface layer blocks which are arranged at the upper sides of the intermediate layer blocks and form an upper side of the road payment and are connected with each other or are connected with the intermediate layer blocks in a horizontal direction.
Abstract:
A paving system for paving or flooring includes a top layer of a plurality of paving elements, and an underlayment support layer of a polymeric material configured into panels. The panels are suitable to support the paving elements, the panels having a generally planar support surface.
Abstract:
A permeable surface covering unit comprises a top surface and at least two pairs of irregularly shaped mating sides, one or more passageways extending downwardly from the top surface, and at least one under channel connected to the passageways for retaining liquid, such as storm water. The sides of the unit preferably define an irregular rotational tessellation element. The passageways may comprise gaps or side cavities between units and/or core cavities or other passageways within the unit. Optional undercuts may be provided in the core cavities. Pervious material plugs are cast into the cavities extending into the channel or undercut. Thereby the plug is locked into the cavity like a rivet and resists being dislodged by mechanical or hydraulic forces. A permeable surface embodiment comprises a combination of pervious and impervious units, wherein the ratio of permeable to impermeable units and resulting surface absorption rate may be adjusted.
Abstract:
An irregularly-shaped building unit includes a front surface, a rear surface opposite of the front surface, and an outer contour surface that extends generally perpendicularly from the front surface to the rear surface. The outer contour surface is irregularly shaped. A plurality of mating sides are disposed on the outer contour surface, where at least two mating sides intersect with a major axis, and at least two mating sides intersect with a minor axis. The major axis and the minor axis are generally perpendicular to each other. Each mating side is a centered rotation about the respective axis that the mating side intersects with.
Abstract:
A paving system for paving or flooring includes a top layer of a plurality of paving elements, and an underlayment support layer of a polymeric material configured into panels. The panels are suitable to support the paving elements, the panels having a generally planar support surface and a recovery characteristic such that a deformation from a concentrated compressive load applied for a short duration returns the support surface to a generally planar condition.
Abstract:
A tile for an interlocking rubber mat includes a tile body having an upper surface, a lower surface, and a rectangular peripheral edge. The upper surface is imprinted with a repeating paving stone pattern of a square adjacent an octagon. Each square has four sides of equal length, and each octagon has every second side equal to the sides of the square. A series of projections extend beyond at least one side of the peripheral edge, the space between the projections being adapted to receive the projections of an adjacent tile. Each projection includes a projecting square and a projecting octagon, wherein the projecting square of each projection is adjacent a peripheral octagon of the at least one side of the peripheral edge and the projecting octagon is adjacent a remote side of the projecting square opposite the peripheral octagon. Each peripheral octagon on the at least one side having an associated projection.
Abstract:
A method for supporting heavy equipment at a site is provided. The method includes constructing a plurality of pre-formed reinforced concrete blocks. Each of the concrete blocks is constructed by: providing a concrete form having internal dimensions of at least 1½ feet by 3 feet by 3 feet, inserting a plurality of reinforcing members within the form, pouring concrete into the form over the reinforcing members, allowing the concrete to cure to form a concrete block, and removing the concrete block from the form. The method further includes excavating the site to form an excavated area and placing the plurality of pre-formed reinforced concrete blocks on the excavated area. The present invention also provides a concrete pad which can be formed by the above-described method.
Abstract:
An interlocking paving brick assembly comprises a protruding brick (10) and a recessing brick (20). The protruding brick is a block and comprises a first top portion (11) and four first sidewalls (12). Every angle between each of the first sidewall and the first top portions is a right angle, each of the first sidewall comprises a tenon structure (13). The recessing brick is a block, including a second top portion (21) and four second sidewalls (22). Every angle between each of the second sidewall and the second top portions is a right angle, and each of the second sidewall comprises a mortise structure (23). The tenon structure of the protruding brick and the mortise structure of the recessing brick is structurally complementary to each other, so the protruding brick and the recessing brick can be connected by the tenon structure and the mortise structure to form the interlocking paving brick assembly.
Abstract:
A module for use in constructing a pathway for traffic comprises a base member that defines a lateral groove disposed at its perimeter edge and extending along a first end, and a tongue structure disposed at its perimeter edge and extending along a second end. The tongue structure is received in the lateral groove and comprises a plurality of tongue portions that includes a first type of tongue portion and a second type of tongue portion disposed in alternating relation along the length of the tongue structure, to thereby define a throughpassage for receiving a securing rod. The first and second tongue portions have no vertical overlap one with the other. To form a pathway for traffic, the modules are placed in perimeter-edge to perimeter-edge relation, with the tongue structure of the modules inserted into the lateral groove of an adjacent module, and are secured together by the securing rod.
