Abstract: A block (11) formed with a mold (10) integral thereto. The mold (10) is constructed as a mold top half (12) and a mold bottom half (14) and filled in situ with cement (16). The mold halves (12,14) are constructed with respective socket and channel structures (24, 20) to capture an enlarged end (38) of a connector (34) for interlocking one block to a neighboring block. The resulting block (11) constitutes a one-piece block that can be formed at the installation site using the two-part mold (10). The interlocked blocks are prevented from removal when moved in either lateral direction, or in the vertical direction.

Abstract: A unitary paving block having an exposed surface in use having a multitude of markings to simulate individual, random paving elements has a periphery with a shape which enables the block to be laid with other similar blocks in an irregular, substantially unrepeated paving array. Abstract: A paving element has a body with oppositely directed major faces interconnected by a peripheral side wall. One of said major faces is generally planar and has at least one set of a plurality of predefined areas formed thereon. Abstract: An elongate modular decking plank is provided for being assembled on a supporting subfloor together with a plurality of like planks to form a decking structure. The decking plank has a top wall spaced-apart from a bottom wall, and opposing laterally spaced side walls interconnecting the top and bottom walls. An integrally-formed fastening flange extends outwardly from the bottom wall on one of first and second sides of the decking plank. The flange includes a fastening portion for receiving fasteners therethrough to the supporting subfloor to mount the decking plank on the supporting subfloor. The plank is preferably extruded of a high-impact polymeric material, such as PVC plastic.

Abstract: A heatable pathway system for traffic comprises a first module having a first electrically powerable heater member and a second module having a second electrically powerable heater member. The first module and the second module are each installable in place to form a heatable pathway system for traffic. An electrical power controller circuit has a first power output connected in power supplying relation to the first electrically powered heater member and a second power output connected in power supplying relation to the second electrically powerable heater member. The electrical power controller circuit is operable to provide electrical power from the power outputs in a heating cycle that comprises a first heating sub-cycle and a second heating sub-cycle such that, during a heating cycle, a first one of the electrically powerable heater members is on and a second one of the electrically powerable heater members is off during the first heating sub-cycle, and the second electrically powerable heater member is on and the first electrically powerable heater members is off during the second heating sub-cycle.

Abstract: A timber access mat having an electrical grounding feature includes an electrically conductive cover layer that is removably carried over the top of the body of the timber access mat. The electrically conductive cover layer can be formed from one or more sheets of expanded metal such as expanded steel. The layer is joined to a perimeter frame that includes offset connector tabs that allow mats to be positioned side-by-side. The connector tabs are paired with cable guides to protect the cable leads that connect the mats. The perimeter frame and conductive cover layer can be added to traditional timber access mats when electrical grounding is required and then removed and stored when not required.
