A pressurized container (10, 50) provided with a piston (13, 51) which is movable in the longitudinal direction of the pressurized container, wherein an electrode is arranged for determination of the position of the piston (13, 51) in the pressurized container (10, 50), at least in the wall of the pressurized container (10, 51) of a measuring arrangement for measurement of changes of electrical alternating field produced with supply of electrical energy, characterized in that the electrode, which is arranged on the wall of the pressurized container (10, 50) made from a resin-impregnated, fiber-reinforced plastic material, comprises an electrical conductor (23) which is sewn or stitched to the base material of a planar arrangement (15) with a form at least partially surrounding an inner wall part (14), and wherein the other electrode of the measuring arrangement is formed with the piston (13, 51) or with another electrical conductor (20) sewn or stitched onto the base material in the circumferential direction of the pressurized container (10, 50).

A hydraulic accumulator including a fluid chamber and a displaceable piston that is connected to a piston position-measuring means is disclosed. Embodiments of the hydraulic accumulator can provide a device that measures the available fluid volume in the accumulator. In embodiments, the displaceable part of the piston may separate fluid volume from gas volume, and may be connected to a wire that runs through the fluid volume and exits the outside of the accumulator through a sealed opening. Further, in embodiments, the wire may be led over pulleys and through a hollow member connected to the accumulator. The position of an associated metallic core member can be electrically monitored to provide position and fluid volume information.
Abstract:
An apparatus for determining the weight of a payload in a bucket of a machine where the bucket is attached to a chassis of the machine by a linkage. The apparatus comprises an energy storage device for storing potential energy of the bucket, payload, and linkage when the bucket is moved from a first suspended position to a second suspended position. A mechanism provides physical data corresponding to a physical change in the energy storage device caused by storage of the potential energy and a processor calculates the weight of the payload using the physical data.

A bladder for a high pressure accumulator includes a metal foil layer adhered to the inside of a rubber bladder with a paint-on adhesive. A position contactor switch is further provided to signal position of the bladder within the accumulator and thereby prevent an undesired shut-off.

An electrohydraulic unit including a hydraulic unit comprising an accommodating member that accommodates electrically actuatable valves and a hydraulic pump, an electric driving device for the pump, and a pressure fluid accumulator fed by the pump and including a media separating element and a sensor device including a receiving element for monitoring the position of the media separating element, and including an electronic unit for the electronic actuation of the valves and the driving device and for receiving electric signals of the sensor device. The sensor device is arranged in the accommodating member or in the electronic unit. An electrical connection is established between sensor device and electronic unit within the unit. This economizes mounting space and enables improved electrical connection.

A system for remotely controlling an undersea device. The system employs a gas-pressurized liquid reservoir that can be recharged from at least one replaceable gas bottle. A pressure-regulating valve is employed to control the pressure of the liquid leaving the reservoir. A number of one-shot units, each in the form of a squib-actuated valve coupled with a piston accumulator, are employed to create a hydraulic pilot for a hydraulic direction control valve. The control valve functions to direct pressurized liquid from the reservoir to a hydraulic actuator or other type of hydraulic device.

An accumulator has a piston axially slidably disposed in a cylinder mounted in a casing, the cylinder and the piston jointly defining a reservoir communicating with an inlet/outlet port in the casing. A piston rod axially movably disposed in the casing has an end slidably fitted in the cylindrical hole of the piston. The piston rod is normally urged by a spring to force the piston into the reservoir. The accumulator also includes a switch mechanism for detecting the position of the piston in the cylinder. The switch mechanism may comprise a reed switch, a light-sensitive switch, a pressure-sensitive switch, or a pushbutton switch.

A bladder is disposed coaxially within a cylindrical container main body, a holder projecting into the bladder is provided on a top wall plate of the container main body, a sensor opposed to a bottom portion of the bladder and positioned within a moving locus region of the bottom portion or a deformable portion of the bladder is disposed at the bottom portion of the holder, and thereby, when the bladder deforms in response to variation of a liquid pressure the bottom portion of the bladder or the deformable portion of the bladder would actuate the sensor.
Abstract:
A gas charged accumulator includes a gas chamber and a hydraulic reservoir on opposite sides of a movable member. A fill passage for pressurizing the gas chamber includes a movable operating device for operating an indicator when the accumulator is substantially discharged. Gas flows directly past the indicator operating device when the gas chamber is pressurized through the fill passage. A normally closed switch assembly is mounted in the fill opening outwardly of the indicator operating device subsequent to pressurization of the gas chamber. The indicator operating device holds the switch assembly in an open position when the accumulator is charged and provides closing of the switch when the accumulator is substantially discharged.
