    摘要: A cell for quenching a charge under an atmosphere of gas comprises a centrifugal or helicon-centrifugal impeller comprising a gas intake opening and gas discharge openings. The impeller is rotated by a motor to cause a flow of the gas between the charge and a heat exchanger. The quenching cell comprises first and second mobile half-volutes. In a first position, the first half-volute guides the gas discharged by a first part of the discharge openings and the second half-volute closes off a first portion of the intake opening. In a second position, the second half-volute guides the gas discharged by a second part, different from the first part, of the discharge openings and the first half-volute shuts off a second portion of the intake opening.

    摘要: An oxidation furnace for the oxidative treatment of fibers having a processing chamber which can be found in the interior of a housing; at least one blowing device; at least one suction device; at least one ventilator that circulates the hot air through the blowing device, the processing chamber, and the suction device; and at least one heating device that lies in the flow path of the hot circulated air. Deviating rollers guide the fibers in a serpentine manner through the processing chamber such that the fibers lie next to one another as a carpet, the fiber carpet being stretched between each opposing deviating roller over one plane. The air in the processing chamber crosses the planes over which the fiber carpet is stretched at an angle that differs from 0° and 90° using special means.

    摘要: Provided is a hot isostatic pressing (HIP) device (1) that can efficiently cool a hot zone during HIP processing while restraining temperatures in the lower part of a high-pressure container. This HIP device (1) is provided with the following: gas-impermeable casings (3, 4) that surround an object to be processed (W); a heating unit (7) that is disposed inside these casings and forms a hot zone around the object to be processed (W); a high-pressure container (2); and a cooling unit that guides a pressure-medium gas cooled on the outside of the casings into the hot zone to cool the hot zone. The cooling unit comprises the following: a gas introduction unit that introduces the pressure-medium gas that has been cooled on the outside of the casings (3, 4) into the hot zone; and a cooling promotion unit (37) that cools the pressure medium gas by causing the pressure-medium gas that has been cooled on the outside of the casings to exchange heat with a base (11) of the high-pressure container (2).

    摘要: A reflow oven includes a chamber housing including surfaces that are in contact with heated air mixed with contaminants, including flux, and a water-soluble layer selectively applied to the surfaces of the chamber housing. Embodiments of the reflow oven include an acrylic-based layer, such as an acrylic paint. In one embodiment, the acrylic paint includes a water-soluble polymer, a polymer emulsion, and water. The water-soluble polymer includes butyl benzyl phthalate. In some embodiments, the acrylic paint includes 1-10% by weight butyl benzyl phthalate, 30-55% by weight acrylic polymer emulsion, and balance water. In a certain embodiment, the acrylic paint includes 1-5% by weight butyl benzyl phthalate, 35-50% by weight acrylic poly emulsion, and balance water. Methods of treating surfaces of the reflow oven are further disclosed.

    摘要: In a retort furnace having a heating assembly, a circulation unit, and an assigned cooling unit, uniform and rapid cooling of the heat-treated workpieces is achieved by three solution variants. The first variant includes a second floor (9.1) assembled to a floor (9) to form an intermediate space which is divided into two ring spaces which are isolated gastight from one another including a first volume space (16) and a second volume space (17). The second variant includes situating throttle valves (20, 21) in a housing (36), each valve having a receptacle space (33), into which a valve plug is movable. In the third variant which is a combination of the first and second variants, the first volume space (16) and the second volume space (17) are adapted to interact for flow technology in such a manner that in the open position of the plug, the flow cross-section of each line (11, 14) is completely unblocked and provides circulation of a cold gas with favorable flow and therefore rapid cooling of the batch (7).

    摘要: An apparatus for sealing a fan drive shaft in a vacuum heat treating furnace is disclosed. The sealing apparatus includes a housing having an annular body and a central opening. An inflatable first seal surrounds the central opening of the annular body. A second seal surrounds the central opening and is adjacent to the inflatable first seal. The sealing apparatus also includes a channel formed in the annular body adjacent to the second seal for conducting a purging fluid into the central opening. A means for injecting the purging fluid into the central opening is operably connected to the channel. A vacuum heat treating furnace and a fan drive system incorporating the sealing apparatus are also described.
