    摘要: A transceiver antenna assembly for installation in a vehicle side-view mirror to enable communication with nearby vehicles, in which each transceiver antenna may have one or two antenna arrays implemented on a single printed circuit board, protected by an antenna housing used to mount the transceiver antenna inside the mirror assembly. Each antenna array in a dual-channel transceiver antenna may transmit and receive data over one of two DSRC channels. One channel may be used to transmit and receive vehicle data only and the other channel may be used to transmit and receive both vehicle data and audio/video (A/V) data. Each antenna array is connected to a radio in the vehicle that processes received signals and prepares signals for transmission. Such a transceiver antenna assembly, when mounted within the side view mirror assembly of a truck, may be especially useful for communication in truck platooning.

    摘要: A first ground conductor is disposed in or on a main substrate. In or on an antenna module, a first antenna and a second ground conductor operating as a ground electrode of the first antenna are disposed. A coaxial cable including a core wire and an outer conductor feeds power to the first antenna. The outer conductor is electrically connected to the first ground conductor at a first position, and is connected to the second ground conductor at a second position. A second antenna including a feed element and a parasitic element operates at a lower frequency than the operating frequency of the first antenna. The second ground conductor and a part of the outer conductor from the first position to the second position also serve as the parasitic element of the second antenna.

    摘要: Dual resonator for flat panel antennas is disclosed. In one example, an antenna comprises a single physical antenna aperture having at least two spatially interleaved antenna sub-arrays of antenna elements operable as two resonator sets with a frequency offset with respect to each other. The antenna sub-arrays are operated together to form a beam in the desired frequency band. Each sub-array has a modulation pattern calculated based on holographic beam steering algorithms. The frequency offset between the sub-arrays can be achieved, e.g., by geometrical differences of the radiative antenna elements or differences in electromagnetic loading of the radiative antenna elements. By using two or dual resonator sets with frequency offset, significant improvement to dynamic bandwidth can be achieved in contrast to a single resonator antenna by expanding the dynamic bandwidth range with dual resonators.

    摘要: A complementary antenna (e.g., wideband complementary antenna) is presented herein. A complementary antenna can include a first dipole portion, a second dipole portion, a first electrically conductive surface, and a second electrically conductive surface. The first dipole portion can include a first patch antenna portion and a second patch antenna portion. The second dipole portion can include a third patch antenna portion and a fourth patch antenna portion electrically coupled to the second patch antenna portion via a strip antenna portion. The first electrically conductive surface can be coupled to the first dipole portion and the second dipole portion via a first set of electrically conductive pins. The second electrically conductive surface can be coupled to the first electrically conductive surface via a second set of electrically conductive pins.

    摘要: A full-duplex 2×2 multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna array is provided. An antenna reflector defining an x-y plane provides a plurality of antenna elements on the reflector. The linear polarization elements of the antenna elements are arrange in orthogonal polarizations for each transmit and receive pair. The elements are aligned in the same direction for half the orthogonal pair. A pair of elements are aligned along an axis to provide two coupled phase offset signals at a third element. The third element is collinear to the element of the first element defining a line of symmetry and parallel the direction of the element of the second element. The antenna array provides improved isolation between orthogonal ports and between transmit and receive ports by providing coupled signal cancelling between ports. This technique also increases boresight radiated pattern gain, as an additional benefit.
