Abstract:
When conditions for copying are satisfied while an image sensing apparatus is connected to a PC, copying is executed by only operating the copy button of the image sensing apparatus, and the progress of copying operation can be notified on the image sensing apparatus side. For this purpose, a program monitoring whether a digital video camera is connected is resident in a memory of the PC. When the digital video camera is connected to the PC, it is determined whether a writable optical disk is set, i.e., whether conditions for copying are satisfied. If the PC is ready for copying operation, the program notifies it to the digital video camera. Upon reception of this, the digital video camera turns on a copy button incorporating an LED. When this button is pressed, corresponding information is notified as response data to the PC, thereby starting copying operation.
Abstract:
The invention enables a user to perform a process to image data stored in an image inputting apparatus even if the user does not leave the image inputting apparatus being close to an image processing apparatus. To achieve this, the image processing apparatus capable of performing wireless communication with the image inputting apparatus is controlled by: automatically obtaining all of printable image data stored in the image inputting apparatus, according to a status that the image processing apparatus comes to be able to communicate with the image inputting apparatus; accepting, from the user, an instruction of the process to the obtained image data; and performing the process to the obtained image data according to the accepted instruction.
Abstract:
An electronic device (1) constitutes a remote control system (100) together with a remote control device (3) and at least one controlled device (2/2′), and the electronic device (1) includes: a first reception section (20) that receives, from the remote control device, a direct command signal (7/7′) broadcasted to the electronic device and the controlled device; a second reception section (23) that receives, from the controlled device, an indirect command signal (8) having been generated by the controlled device according to the direct command signal having been received from the remote control device; and a control section (10) including signal selecting means (31) that selects one intended command signal to which a response is needed from a signal group according to a predetermined rule, the signal group consisting of the direct command signal having been received by the first reception section and the indirect command signal having been received by the second reception section. This makes it possible to properly select and process a signal to be followed in the electronic device where a plurality of command signals are redundantly supplied with respect to one command signal from the remote control device.
Abstract:
With a digital camera 100, a photographed image 31 is displayed on a liquid crystal display and the user selects a desired image and specifies print specifications of the number of print sheets, a print paper size, a print color mode, etc., then print image data is prepared. The prepared print image, data is transmitted from the digital camera 100 to a color printer of an output unit. An image is printed at the color printer in accordance with the print image data.
Abstract:
A process for configuring a computing device to operate with a peripheral device having a configuration control and that is coupled to the computing device via a network, including: detecting activation of the configuration control at the peripheral device; receiving information associated with a user of the computing device at the peripheral device; outputting information from the peripheral device dependent on the received information; and configuring the computing device to operate with the peripheral device using the outputted information.
Abstract:
An image processing system capable of executing a processing flow in a destination image processing apparatus without retransmitting the processing flow from a source image processing apparatus to the destination image processing apparatus when the version of the destination image processing apparatus is upgraded. The source image processing apparatus analyzes whether or not the processing flow is executable by the destination image processing apparatus before transmitting the processing flow, and if it is unexecutable, the source image processing apparatus performs alternate configuration of an inexecutable setting based on the analysis result. The source image processing apparatus transmits the processing flow including the alternate setting to the destination image processing apparatus. If the destination image processing apparatus fails in executing the processing flow, the destination image processing apparatus executes the processing flow based on the alternate setting included in the received processing flow.
Abstract:
A method, computer readable medium, and system that manages one or more captured images includes automatically receiving one or more images and at least one identifier from an image capture device. The received images with the associated identifier are stored and one or more hardcopies of one or more of the received images are provided based on the associated identifier.

Abstract:
An image-capturing apparatus has a function for printing an image with the use of an external printer. The image-capturing apparatus includes an image-capturing section, a control section, and a clock generating section. The control section controls the operation of the entire image-capturing apparatus, including the image-capturing section (hardware), and executes printing processing for printing an image by the external printer. The clock generating section generates a higher operating frequency when the control section executes printing processing (i.e., in a printing mode) than when the image-capturing section obtains an image (i.e., in an image-capturing mode), for the control section.
Abstract:
In operation of a server such as a printer with use of a client such as a digital camera, the client can operate the server without having a complex configuration therefor. The printer is connected to the digital camera for direct printing of image data obtained by the digital camera. An operation screen for operation of the printer is provided to the digital camera 1 as image data.
