Abstract:
An image corresponding to an image processing parameter value currently configured in an image input device is displayed in an area. Images obtained when the image parameter value is changed to different values are displayed in areas around the area. A user can configure the parameter value in the image input device by selecting a desired image.
Abstract:
When conditions for copying are satisfied while an image sensing apparatus is connected to a PC, copying is executed by only operating the copy button of the image sensing apparatus, and the progress of copying operation can be notified on the image sensing apparatus side. For this purpose, a program monitoring whether a digital video camera is connected is resident in a memory of the PC. When the digital video camera is connected to the PC, it is determined whether a writable optical disk is set, i.e., whether conditions for copying are satisfied. If the PC is ready for copying operation, the program notifies it to the digital video camera. Upon reception of this, the digital video camera turns on a copy button incorporating an LED. When this button is pressed, corresponding information is notified as response data to the PC, thereby starting copying operation.
Abstract:
A storage apparatus includes first, second and third interface units. The first interface unit has a first port for connection to a first external apparatus. The second interface unit has a second port for connection to a second external apparatus. The third interface unit is for connection to a removable storage medium. The storage apparatus sets the second port in a disabled state responsive to a determination that the first external apparatus connected to the first port is capable of accessing the removable storage medium connected to the third interface unit. The storage apparatus sets the first port in the disabled state responsive to a determination that the second external apparatus connected to the second port is capable of accessing the removable storage medium connected to the third interface unit.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a display unit, a classification unit configured to classify a plurality of images into a landscape-oriented image and a portrait-oriented image, a detection unit configured to detect whether the apparatus is in the landscape orientation or in the portrait orientation, and a control unit configured to display a plurality of images in one orientation of the landscape-oriented image and the portrait-oriented image on the display unit in response to an instruction, and thereafter display a plurality of images in the other orientation on the display unit. The control unit determines the orientation of the image to be displayed first based on a detection result upon receiving the instruction.
Abstract:
There is provided a communication terminal comprising: a readout unit which reads out, from a plurality of storage media each storing an identifier concerning a communication carrier, the identifiers; a communication unit which determines the communication carriers based on the identifiers read out by the readout unit, and performs communication using the determined communication carriers; a generation unit which generates address book information in which identifying information for identifying an address of a communication partner is registered in association with carrier information concerning a communication carrier of the communication partner; and a control unit which controls the communication unit to perform communication with the communication partner based on the identifying information and the carrier information registered in the address book information.
Abstract:
To provide a storage apparatus that makes it possible to exclusively control external apparatuses that access a removable medium such as a memory card. In the case where a first external apparatus connected to a 1394 port accesses the memory card, the storage apparatus sets a USB port in a disabled state. In the case where a second external apparatus connected to the USB port accesses the memory card, the storage apparatus sets the 1394 port in the disabled state. As a result, the storage apparatus exclusively controls access to the memory card.

Abstract:
A communication apparatus comprises a connecting unit for connecting with a power line, a circuit for receiving a power supply through the connecting unit, and a communicating unit for communicating with an external apparatus through the connecting unit, a controlling unit for determining whether or not to permit a power supply stop, in accordance with the communicating unit receiving information on a request for the power supply stop, and controlling the communicating unit to transmit response data corresponding to the determination.
Abstract:
A transfer apparatus includes a transfer unit configured to transfer a data stream containing time adjustment information using a transfer method of transferring predetermined-sized data at a predetermined time interval, and a conversion unit configured to convert the time adjustment information into converted time adjustment information according to the time interval in the transfer method. The transfer unit transfers the data stream according to the converted time adjustment information.
Abstract:
An image sensing device includes an image sensing unit, an interface unit, a control endpoint, an isochronous endpoint, a bulk endpoint, an interrupt endpoint, and an interface unit controller. The image sensing unit senses a moving image and a still image. The interface unit is connected to an external device. The control endpoint receives from the external device a command requesting transfer of the still image. The isochronous endpoint transfers the moving image sensed by the image sensing unit to the external device. The bulk endpoint transfers the still image sensed by the image sensing unit to the external device. The interrupt endpoint transfers error information. The error information includes information indicating that an error has occurred during sensing of the still image. The interface unit controller transfers the error information to the external device through the interrupt endpoint in response to the occurrence of the error.
