摘要: In one embodiment, coloring artifacts of a color image output by a camera are minimized by taking into account a distortion introduced by the lens. Based on the distortion, the color reconstruction determines which pixels in the grayscale image to include in the reconstruction process. Additionally, the color reconstruction can take into account edges depicted in the grayscale image to determine which pixels to include in the reconstruction process. In another embodiment, coloring artifacts in a 360 degree color image are minimized by performing the color reconstruction process on a three-dimensional surface. Before the color reconstruction takes place, the two-dimensional grayscale image is projected onto a three-dimensional surface, and the color reconstruction is performed on the three-dimensional surface. The color reconstruction on the three-dimensional surface can take into account the distortion produced by the lens and/or can take into account the edges depicted in the two-dimensional and three-dimensional grayscale image.

摘要: Provided are an image processing device, an imaging device, an image processing method, and an image processing program which can instantly switch display between a chromatic image indicating an in-focus state and an achromatic image indicating an out-of-focus state. A control unit performs control such that a chromatic split image, which is obtained by giving a chromatic color included in a normal image to an achromatic split image, is displayed in a case in which the result of comparison between an output value of a first image signal and an output value of a second image signal is less than a threshold value. In addition, the control unit performs control such that an achromatic split image, which is obtained based on a left eye image and a right eye image, is displayed in a case in which the comparison result is equal to or greater than the threshold value.

摘要: An image sensor includes a semiconductor layer, a plurality of light sensing regions, a first pixel isolation layer, a light shielding layer, and a wiring layer. The semiconductor layer has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The plurality of light sensing regions is formed in the semiconductor layer. The first pixel isolation layer is disposed between adjacent light sensing regions from among the plurality of light sensing regions. The first pixel isolation layer is buried in an isolation trench formed between the first surface and the second surface. The light shielding layer is formed on the second surface of the semiconductor layer and on some of the adjacent light sensing regions. The wiring layer is formed on the first surface of the semiconductor layer.

摘要: The present technology relates to a solid-state imaging device and a driving method thereof, and an electronic apparatus that make it possible to improve the precision of phase difference detection while suppressing deterioration of resolution in a solid-state imaging device having a global shutter function and a phase difference AF function. Provided is a solid-state imaging device including: a pixel array unit including, as pixels including an on-chip lens, a photoelectric conversion unit, and a charge accumulation unit, imaging pixels for generating a captured image and phase difference detection pixels for performing phase difference detection arrayed therein; and a driving control unit configured to control driving of the pixels. The imaging pixel is formed with the charge accumulation unit shielded from light. The phase difference detection pixel is formed in a manner that at least part of at least one of the photoelectric conversion unit and the charge accumulation unit refrains from being shielded from light. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a CMOS image sensor.

摘要: Systems and methods in accordance with embodiments of the invention implement TDI imaging techniques in conjunction with monolithic CCD image sensors having multiple distinct imaging regions, where TDI imaging techniques can be separately implemented with respect to each distinct imaging region. In many embodiments, the distinct imaging regions are defined by color filters or color filter patterns (e.g. a Bayer filter pattern); and data from the distinct imaging regions can be read out concurrently (or else sequentially and/or nearly concurrently). A camera system can include: a CCD image sensor including a plurality of pixels that define at least two distinct imaging regions, where pixels within each imaging region operate in unison to image a scene differently than at least one other distinct imaging region. In addition, the camera system is operable in a time-delay integration mode whereby time delay-integration imaging techniques are imposed with respect to each distinct imaging region.

摘要: An image processing apparatus and an image processing method capable of discriminating with good precision a cause of image degradation that occurs in a value of a pixel adjacent to a focusing pixel, and of appropriately performing correction. When correcting a value of an imaging pixel adjacent to a focusing pixel, it is determined whether the value of the correction target pixel is influenced by flare based on a value of an imaging pixel adjacent to the focusing pixel that exists in a vicinity of a correction target pixel, and values of a plurality of imaging pixels that exist in a vicinity and are not adjacent to the focusing pixel. An appropriate method for correcting the influence of flare is used if it is determined that the value of the correction target pixel is influenced by flare.

摘要: An imaging and pulse detection (IPD) pixel array includes a plurality of imaging pixels arranged in a plurality of rows and columns. Each imaging pixel includes a respective photodetector that outputs signals in response to incident light and input laser pulses. The signals include imaging signals that correspond to the incident light and pulse signals that correspond to the input laser pulses. The IPD array further includes an isolation circuit associated with each of the respective imaging pixels, each isolation circuit outputting filtered output pulse signals in response to receiving the signals from the associated imaging pixel, the filtered output pulse signals corresponding to the pulse signals. The IPD array further includes a single pulse detection circuit that toggles between a charged and uncharged state corresponding to a pulse being received from at least one of the isolation circuits.
