摘要: A method includes reading a first analog reference signal from a first storage node in a dual conversion gain pixel, and converting the first analog reference signal to a first digital reference signal using a comparator coupled to the dual conversion gain pixel. The method also includes reading a first analog image signal from the first storage node, and converting the first analog image signal to a first digital image signal using the comparator. A second analog image signal may be read from the first storage node and a second storage node in the dual conversion gain pixel, and the second analog image signal may be converted to a second digital image signal. A second analog reference signal may be read from the first storage node and the second storage node, and the second analog reference signal may be converted to a second digital reference signal using the comparator.

A second analog image signal may be read from the first storage node and a second storage node in the dual conversion gain pixel, and the second analog image signal may be converted to a second digital image signal. A second analog reference signal may be read from the first storage node and the second storage node, and the second analog reference signal may be converted to a second digital reference signal using the comparator.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a solid-state imaging device, a signal processing method, and an electronic device, capable of suppressing an input voltage of comparison apparatus at the time of P-phase input. In the present technology, a signal voltage is clipped at a predetermined voltage (for example, comparative voltage), and the clip is released at the time of D-phase count. With this configuration, the comparative voltage and the signal voltage VSL (initial voltage) do not cross (the comparator is not inverted in the D-phase). Thus, the up/down counter 32 detects this and sets the count of the P-phase to be 0 without counting the P-phase. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, a CMOS solid-state imaging device.

A distance between the second diffusion region and the first layer is equal to or less than 1.5 times a distance between the second diffusion region and the first diffusion region.

The first and second integrated circuit die are in a face to face arrangement such that the output pads of the first integrated circuit die face the input pads of the second integrated circuit die. An interconnect couples the output pads of the first integrated circuit die to the input pads of the second integrated circuit die.

A second integration is performed on a second photodiode of the pixel circuit to obtain a second image signal, the first photodiode having a photodiode area larger than the second photodiode. A third integration is performed by collecting blooming charge overflowing from the first photodiode to obtain an overflow image signal. The first integration has longest integration time and the third integration has shortest integration time among the first integration, the second integration and the third integration.

摘要: The present technology relates to an imaging element, a driving method of an imaging element, and an electronic device capable of preventing deterioration in image quality. The imaging element reads a first signal in a state where a charge holding unit is reset, reads a second signal in a state where a reset transistor is turned off, reads a third signal in a state where charges obtained by photoelectric conversion are accumulated in the charge holding unit, reads a fourth signal in a state where the charge holding unit is reset, and sets a reset signal to an intermediate voltage between an on voltage and an off voltage before the reset signal to a gate electrode of the reset transistor is switched from the on voltage to the off voltage after the first signal is read, and generates a noise signal by correlated double sampling of the first signal and the second signal, generates a data signal by correlated double sampling of the third signal and the fourth signal, and generates an output signal by correlated double sampling of the data signal and the noise signal. The present technology is applied to, for example, an imaging element.

摘要: An imaging apparatus includes an imaging element, a readout unit, and a signal processing unit. The imaging element includes pixels that have photoelectric conversion units for one micro lens. The readout unit performs a first readout operation on pixels included in a first region of the imaging element to read signals according to accumulated electric charges, and performs a second readout operation on pixels included in a second region different from the first region to read signals according to accumulated electric charges. The signal processing unit makes a correction for reducing noise levels to the signals readout by the readout unit. The signal processing unit makes the correction to the signals acquired from the first region such that differences between noise levels included in the signals read by the first readout operation and the second readout operation become smaller after the correction by the signal processing unit.

摘要: An image sensor includes a pixel array including a plurality of pixels, an analog-to-digital converter having a first counter for converting an analog signal into a digital signal, and an output buffer having a first memory. A first counter test result value generated as a test result for the first counter is stored in the first memory in a test mode. The output buffer outputs the first counter test result value from the first memory to an outside of the output buffer in response to a first selection signal. The output buffer further includes a reset logic circuit for resetting the first memory depending on whether the first counter test result value is output or not. The plurality of pixels generate the analog signal in response to incident light.

Each of the column readout circuits includes a holding unit configured to hold a reference voltage supplied from a reference voltage line, an amplifier unit configured to amplify a signal output from one of the pixels based on the reference voltage held in the holding unit, and a switch unit configured to electrically disconnect the reference voltage line from the holding unit when the amplifier unit amplifies the signal. The holding unit of a first column readout circuit and the holding unit of a second column readout circuit are electrically connected to each other by a path other than the switch unit.
