    摘要： A method and apparatus for knurling a workpiece in which the knurl pattern includes grooves of at least two different configurations. The apparatus includes a knurl wheel holder that allows angular rotation of the knurl wheel about the holder longitudinal axis while maintaining the knurl wheel point of contact on the longitudinal axis. The apparatus also includes a knurling wheel that includes teeth of at least two different configurations. Also disclosed is a method of molding a molded article with the knurled workpiece to impart the inverse of the knurl pattern onto the molded article, such a molded article, a method of forming a structured abrasive article with the molded article, and such an abrasive article.

    摘要： The present invention is an apparatus and method for an improved actuator arm assembly in a disc drive. The improvement arises by casting a steel sleeve into the actuator arm to define a pivot bore. A steel bearing and shaft assembly cooperates with the pivot bore to enable the actuator arm to rotate about the shaft. This all steel arrangement minimizes the bearing preload necessary to create a stable actuator arm assembly having a minimum amount of friction in the bearing system.

    摘要： The invention is concerned with a heat transfer tube for use in boiling type heat exchangers, having an excellent heat transfer performance. More specifically, the invention relates to a surface condition of the heat transfer tube for improving the heat transfer performance and a method of producing the tube easily, especially a method for processing the surface condition efficiently and advantageously from an industrial point of view. The essential feature of the invention resides in a provision of a surface condition for promoting the boiling which consists of annular or spiral cavities extending along the tube surface in the circumferential direction of the latter, as well as narrow gaps extending along the cavities so as to allow the cavities to communicate the outside space. If necessary, spiral or annular fins may be provided on the tube surface, so as to improve the boiling performance at the outside of the tube. Further, as a mechanism for promoting the boiling also in the axial direction of the tube, as well as in the circumferential direction, axially extending cavities and narrow gaps extending along the axially extending cavities for communication of the latter with the outside space may be formed on the tube surface, so as to remarkably improve the boiling performance at the outside of the tube.
