摘要： A three point pivoting 360.degree. articulable pinchless hinge connects two members which may pivot 360.degree. with respect to each other. The hinge has two opposing couplers, each having a toothed semicircular portion meshed with the opposing coupler toothed semicircular portion. Each coupler is adapted to be connected to one of the members to be pivoted with respect to each other. A pin is in each coupler extending along an axis of the semicircular portion thereof. A link connects each pin to maintain the meshed engagement of the couplers through 360.degree. of coupler pivotal rotation with respect to each other. The link has a sufficient width substantially that of the width of the coupler body as to block and prevent the meshed semicircular portions from pinching an individual's finger or object.

摘要： A portable play yard comprises a frame assembly and a fabric enclosure. The frame assembly comprises lower and upper corner rail connecting members, vertical corner rails, a pair of pivotally connected floor support rails between each set of lower corner rail connecting members, and a pair of pivotally connected upper side rail members between each set of upper corner rail connecting members. A frame lock is mounted on ends of the upper side rails to hold the side rails in a straight in-line mode or, upon rotation, allows the side rails to pivot downwardly. Meshing hinge gears in each frame lock form a single pivot point for the two upper side rail ends held by the frame lock. The frame assembly is folded to a compact unit by initially rotating the frame locks and then folding the assembly. The frame assembly is capable of holding the fabric enclosure so as to provide a play yard.

摘要： A door hinge includes a hydraulic retarding device for cushioning the closing action of a door. The hydraulic retarding device has a cylinder body which confines a fluid operating space to receive hydraulic fluid therein. The fluid operating space includes a pair of longitudinally extending cylindrical spaces and an intermediate longitudinal passage provided between and communicating the cylindrical spaces. A vane unit is provided in each of the cylindrical spaces and has a blade which defines a longitudinal clearance with an inner surface of the cylinder body. A baffle extends longitudinally into each of the cylindrical spaces and is disposed between the passage and a respective one of the vane units. The baffles are substantially arc-shaped in cross-section and face away from each other. A gate valve is provided in the passage between the baffles. The vane units are operably associated with the door movement so as to open the gate valve to permit the hydraulic fluid to flow through the passage during a door opening action and so as to close the gate valve to prevent the hydraulic fluid from flowing through the passage and to permit the hydraulic fluid to flow only through the clearance between the vane units and the inner surface of the cylinder body in order to retard the movement of the vane units during a door closing action.

摘要： A holder for cups and similar articles which includes a plurality of elongated articulated members one of which members terminates at one end in an article holding means and at the other end in one-half of an intermeshing pair of joint elements which provide means for forming a positive detent-type joint means. One of the halves of the intermeshing pair of joint elements is in the form of a hub having a plurality of external teeth disposed thereon and the other half of the intermeshing pair of joint elements is in the form of a collar having a plurality of internal teeth arranged and constructed so that the collar fits over the hub element and the respective teeth intermesh to effect an adjustable positive detent joint means. Another of the members terminates at one end in an expandable plug mounting means arranged and constructed to form a secure connection within a hollow cylindrical opening, and terminates at its other end in the other half of the intermeshing pair of joint elements means are also provided retaining the respective halves of the intermeshing pair of joint elements together. The means for retaining the intermeshing pair of joint elements together includes a pair of spaced-apart leg members extending axially from the hub element and is provided with oppositely directed hook means which snap over and secure the collar half of the joint element to the hub half of the joint element.

摘要： Recliner mechanism for a vehicle seat has a combination cam and bearing member operated by a manual control member positioned at the end of a rotatable support shaft for lifting one toothed locking segment carried by the seatback frame out of contact with another carried by the seat base, thus permitting the seatback to be tilted to any desired angle. Release of the control member in any position of adjustment permits the cooperating toothed locking segments to move together into locking engagement. A seatback return spring biases the seatback forwardly, while a torsion spring biases the control member and cam member toward their locked position. Where desired, a recliner mechanism can be provided for each side of the seatback with the two mechanisms being mounted at the opposite ends of the rotatable support shaft and operated by a single control member.
