    摘要: The invention relates to a system for balancing an association in series of elements for generating and/or storing electrical energy, characterised in that it comprises: a plurality of full bridge inverters (OPC1, OPC2, OPCN), each consisting of two inverter arms connected in parallel between two end ports of the inverter, each inverter arm, in turn, consisting of two switches (Th1, Tb1; Th2, Tb2) connected in series by a so-called median point (P11, P12) of the arm; a plurality of connectors for connecting the two end ports of each full bridge inverter to a respective element (CA1, CA2, CAN, PV1, PV2, PVN) of said association in series; and a magnetic coupler (NM) formed by a magnetic core on which a plurality of windings (ŴW2, WN) is formed, each winding being connected to the median points of the arms of one of said inverters. The invention also relates to an association in series of elements (CA1, CA2, CAN) for the electrochemical storage of electrical energy, provided with such a balancing system. The invention further relates to an association in series of photovoltaic cells (PV1, PV2, PVN) provided with such a balancing system.

    摘要: A multiple-output DC-DC converter has a first and a second DC-DC sub-converter, each DC-DC subconverter may be a buck, boost, or buck-boost converter having a primary energy-storage inductor. Each DC-DC subconverter drives a separate output of the multiple-output converter and typically has a separate feedback control circuit for controlling output voltage and/or current. The converter has a common timing circuit to maintain a phase offset between the first and DC-DC subconverters. The primary energy storage inductors of the first and second DC-DC converter are magnetically coupled to raise an effective ripple frequency of the converter and simplify output filtering.

If at least one of the plurality of power supply units 1-1, 1-2 is faulty, the control unit 2 operates in an energy saving mode in which less power is consumed on electric power supplied from the power supply unit that remains fully operational. Thereby an electronic control apparatus is obtained that enables continued operation during a faulty condition, while preventing circuit scale, dimensions, weight, and cost from increasing.

A method for providing a substantially constant level of power to an appliance, such as a vacuum cleaner, using a plurality of power sources comprises providing power from a principal power source connected to the appliance; monitoring an operating voltage supplied to the appliance to detect if the operating voltage is below a predetermined threshold voltage level; and upon detecting that the operating voltage is below the predetermined threshold voltage level, providing power from k of n supplemental power sources connected to the appliance, where k and n are positive integers, and k is less than or equal to n. Optionally, upon detecting that the operating voltage is below the predetermined threshold voltage level and where k is equal to n, the principal and supplemental power sources are disengaged from the appliance.
