摘要: There is provided a liner for a container that provides a gas and moisture barrier. The liner includes a first sealant web of polyethylene that defines a self-supporting layer of the liner. An adhesive layer is applied to an outer surface of the first sealant web, and a metal foil layer is adhered to the adhesive layer. A second sealant layer is attached to the metal foil layer. The second sealant layer may be heat-sealed to the first sealant web so that when the liner is adhered to the inside surface of a container, the liner may be sealed to itself with a lap seal. The first sealant web defines a self-supporting layer because it provides structural support to the liner. Accordingly, the first sealant web advantageously serves as a carrier web for the liner while the liner is being manufactured.

摘要: The invention concerns a method and an installation for making a tubular package comprising a flexible, fragile and sealed inner sleeve and an outer cardboard body provided with a precut and closed at both ends by two seals. The method for forming the sleeve consists in sealing the two longitudinal ends of the material (1) exiting from the bobbin (1) and passing through a shaping unit (3) enclosing a mandrel (4); glueing on the sleeve a cardboard (6) with a satellite device (9); cutting out the tube(s) obtained with a device (12, 13) and sealing one of the ends of the package; filling the package with the product to be packaged and sealing the other end. The resulting package is perfectly sealed and can be open by pressing on the cardboard proximate the precut of the tube thereby rupturing the sleeve and opening the package. Such type of package is designed for packaging oblong products.

摘要: A packaging for containing a particulate product is disclose in preferred forms of a canister (10) and a bag (100). The packaging includes a body (11, 110) and at least one microhole (40, 400) formed in the body (11, 110). Other than the microhole(s) (40, 400), the body (11, 110) is hermetically sealed. In this regard, the body (11, 110) defines an internal storage region (20, 200) configured to contain a particulate product (22). The microhole(s) (40, 400) are sized to allow passage of air from the internal storage region (20, 200), as well as to limit passage of the particulate product (22). During use, a decrease in atmospheric pressure applied to the packaging, such as during shipping, results in air being vented from the internal storage region (20, 200) via the microhole(s) (40, 400). Due to this air flow, an internal pressure of the body (11, 110) maintains substantial equilibrium with atmospheric pressure such that the body (11, 110) will not unexpectedly expand or in the case of bag (100) burst.

摘要: A collapsible container for receiving food has a flexible wall comprising at least two layers. The container comprises a withdrawal opening with a bent opening edge and is closed at its end opposite the withdrawal opening. The container is rolled from a two-dimensional blank which is connected with itself in an overlap region extending in particular in the longitudinal direction of the container by means of heat and/or pressure. To improve such a collapsible container to the effect that in a simple constructive and inexpensive manner, an inspection of the interior of the container is possible and at the same time maintaining all advantages of the known collapsible containers, the container is formed from a transparent and in particular liquid, preferably fluid tight material which can be shaped in particular for bending the opening edge and is dimensionally stable after the shaping. Also, a blank for the manufacturer for such a collapsible container is provided.

摘要: An insulated container of paper which does not feel hot to the touch even when a user holds a trunk portion thereof in a hot water-containing state. The trunk portion has a doubly-walled structure with an insulating space provided between two wall members thereof. The doubly-walled insulating space-retaining structure is formed, as shown in FIG. 2, by inwardly curling both end portions of a cylindrical member and firmly fitting the resultant cylindrical member around an outer surface of a trunk portion of an inner container body. This structure results in a container capable of being manufactured at a low cost and having a high insulating capability and a high grasping resistance.

摘要: A spiral wound type composite container of the type that is typically used for packaging refrigerated pressurized dough products includes, as is typical in such containers, an inner liner, a body wall that is wound about the inner layer so as to define a butt joint, and a label member that is wound about the body wall so as to bind the body wall against expansion as a result of forces that are created by the pressurized contents of the container. As is also typical in such containers, the label member has a tab defined at one portion thereof and a predetermined lead path forming the tab so that a consumer can grasp the tab and tear the label member along the lead path, thereby removing enough of the label member from the body wall so that forces of pressurization will cause the body wall to separate and open. According to one novel aspect of the invention, the lead path is defined on a portion of the label member by at least two discrete cuts, with adjacent cuts being separated by a bridge area, so that the portion of the label member in which the lead path is defined will be strong enough to avoid flagging and premature opening during manufacture and handling, yet will be of an adequate length to reduce the potential of premature mis-directional tearing of the label during opening by a consumer.

摘要: A tubular packaging container includes a body (10) which includes a peripheral wall (34) defining top and bottom openings, at least one of which is closed by an end member. The body is formed from at least two panels (20, 30) of a suitable card material cut from flat stock. The panels are secured together in face-to-face relationship by adhesive (32) distributed across the mutually contacting faces thereof. The panels are then curved to the required shape to form a tube with marginal portions (31) of at least one of the panels secured together in overlapping relationship.
