    摘要: A ribbon self-orienting device that is to be interposed between the source and the target of a traveling ribbon, either during winding of a ribbon into a traversed roll or during pay-off of a ribbon from a traversed roll. A pivoting frame is pivotally coupled to a frame support, at a pivot axis. First and second direction changing means coupled to the pivoting frame serve to change the direction of the traveling ribbon. A force transfer means transfers a transversely directed force, imparted by the traveling ribbon due to the ribbon traversing its traversed roll while under tension, to the pivoting frame causing the pivoting frame to move about the pivot axis. Other embodiments are also described.

    摘要: A cable transport device having a pivotably mounted cable transporter, a first drive means connected in a stationary manner to a base frame and intended for achieving an exactly defined pivot movement of the cable transporter around a pivot axis and a second drive means for synchronous driving of at least two cooperating pressure rollers. The second drive means with a drive axle for the pressure rollers is connected in a stationary manner to the base frame, and the drive axle of the second drive means coincides with the pivot axis for the cable transporter. In additional versions, the second drive means with a drive axle for the pressure rollers is also connected in a stationary manner to the base frame, and the rollers' axes of rotation are parallel to one another and parallel to a common pitch axis. In these versions, transmission of the drive movement to the toothed belt driving the pressure rollers is effected via a toothed belt which is tensioned symmetrically to the center of rotation of the pivot axis between a first intermediate shaft arranged on a base plate of the cable transporter and a second intermediate shaft fixed to the machine frame, the pitch axis of the cable transporter being identical to the axis of the first intermediate shaft. The cable transport device may be equipped with a guide sleeve that includes a grooved plate and a cover plate that may be replaced for adaptation to different cable diameters and for correction of the cable position.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process and device for the connection of a negative pressure channel provided with openings installed on a textile machine with a plurality of work stations. A service unit traveling alongside the textile machine is provided with a negative pressure line. The negative pressure channel has openings which are closed off by swiveling flaps. When the service unit is brought to a stop at one of the work stations, the flap associated with the work station is swivelled by means of an apparatus installed in the service unit and the negative pressure line is connected to the opening of the negative pressure channel. Before the service unit leaves the work station, the connection between the negative pressure channel and the negative pressure line is broken and the flap is necessarily swivelled by the apparatus so as to be in front of the opening in order to close the opening. The service unit has an apparatus capable of being moved in the direction of the closing surface of the flap in order to necessarily swivel said flap. The apparatus necessarily opens the flap as it moves in the direction of the closing surface and the flap is necessarily closed off again as the apparatus moves back into its starting position. The apparatus is provided with a movable line segment to connect the negative pressure line of the service unit to the negative pressure channel.

    摘要: A portable wire pulling device is disclosed which can be secured into pulling position and easily released. The device has a housing; a frame with vertical hollow posts, a sheave between the posts, a motor-driven extension clamp moveable outwardly from the posts to engage and secure to a stationary object; a motor driven capstan mounted on the housing; controls and selectors to select between AC and DC and to control the motors; and wheels and hand grips for moving the device; such that the device can be secured into position by the extension clamp and a wire feed pulling line attached to wires to be pulled routed over the sheave to the capstan and the wire pulled securely and evenly by the capstan. The device can be run on AC or DC power, or AC power can be used to charge internally mounted DC batteries. A full battery charge will allow the device to operate for a full eight-hour shift, and it can easily be recharged overnight. A number of pulling speeds can be obtained, depending on the type of control and selection device used, from slow speeds for precise control to fast speeds for high productivity.
