    摘要: An oil pump comprises a casing of aluminum alloy and at least one rotor housed therein. The rotor is produced by powder metallurgical with a rapidly solidified aluminum alloy comprising, by weight, of 5 to 25% of Si, up to 15% of one or more alloy elements selected from the group consisting of 3 to 10% of Fe, 3 to 10% of Ni and 1 to 8% of Cr, and the balance of Al and inevitable impurities. The casing may be produced by powder metallurgy or ingot metallurgy with an aluminum alloy consisting essentially, by weight, of 5 to 25%, preferably 5 to 17%, of Si, 1 to 5% of Cu, 0.2 to 1.5% of Mg, 0.2 to 1% of Mn, and the balance of Al and inevitable impurities. The rotor and casing are so combined that the sum of the Si content of said rapidly solidified aluminum alloy for casing and that of said rapidly solidified aluminum alloy for rotor being equal to or more than 15 percent by weight.

    摘要: An aluminum-chromium based alloy which has a high strength, an excellent heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and a light weight contains 10 to 25 atomic percent of Cr and 0.1 to 5.0 atomic percent of Fe and/or Ni. The total content of Cr, and Fe and/or Ni is not more than 30 atomic percent The remainder substantially consists of aluminum. The aluminum-chromium based alloy partially or entirely exhibits and amorphous state by X-ray diffraction. This aluminum-chromium based alloy is obtained by first preparing a powder by a rapid solidification method, then converting the powder raw material to an amorphous powder by performing a mechanical grinding treatment thereon, and then hot working the amorphous powder.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method for producing an aluminum alloy which includes the step of carbo-thermically reducing an aluminous material to provide an alloy consisting essentially of the formula Al.sub.bal TM.sub.d Si.sub.e, wherein TM is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Fe, Ni, Co, Ti, V, Zr, Cu and Mn, "d" ranges from about 2-20 wt %, "e" ranges from about 2.1-20 wt %, and the balance is aluminum and incidental impurities. The alloy is placed in the molten state and rapidly solidified at a quench rate of at least about 10.sup.6 K/sec to produce a rapidly solidified alloy composed of a predominately microeutectic and/or microcellular structure.

    摘要: A method of making an aluminum alloy containing zirconium includes heating a first composition including aluminum to a first temperature. The first temperature is greater than or equal to a liquidus temperature of the first composition. The method further includes adding a second composition including a copper-zirconium compound to the first composition. The method further includes decomposing at least a portion of the copper-zirconium compound into copper and zirconium. The method further includes forming a third composition by dissolving at least some of the copper from the decomposing in the aluminum of the first composition. The method further includes cooling the third composition to a second temperature to form a first solid material. The second temperature is less than or equal to a solidus temperature of the third composition. The method further includes heat treating the first solid material to form the aluminum alloy containing zirconium.
