    摘要: An LED downlighting apparatus includes a housing with a sidewall having a front facing edge and a back facing edge positioned adjacent to a ceiling when the LED downlighting apparatus is installed in an opening of the ceiling. A depth of the sidewall is less than one inch and a thickness of at least a portion of the sidewall is less than three millimeters. An LED board and a lens are coupled to the housing. The lens is disposed with respect to the LED board such that the lens is illuminated from a back side. One or more mechanical couplers snap fit the apparatus to a junction box installed and positioned above the ceiling such that when the apparatus is snap fit to the junction box through the opening of the ceiling, the housing appears to be surface mounted to the ceiling.

In one embodiment, a mounting bracket assembly comprises an obround-shaped wall mount configured to be mounted to a wall and a light mount configured to be coupled to a surface of a light. The wall mount comprises a raised internal ridge extending from a wall-facing side of the wall mount and a rim segment surrounding the raised internal ridge. A clearance space can be formed in between the wall and the rim segment when the wall mount is mounted to the wall. The light mount comprises a curved ledge and an inwardly-projecting brim. At least part of the curved ledge can rest on a top of the wall mount and the inwardly-projecting brim can be positioned within part of the clearance space when the light is mounted to the wall.

    摘要: A lighting device having small light sources on a movable support assembly. Light sources are integrated into the side edges of the device on an assembly that coincides with the housing shape, to provide a particularly narrow and low-profile arrangement. Lights sources may be arranged in an array on a common printed circuit board. Optic elements are included to redirect and focus light. The light support assembly may be pivotable, translatable and tiltable to allow for adjustment to enhance lighting uniformity in multiple directions. Accordingly, a single device can accommodate a broad range of lighting needs, the undesirable “bug eye” appearance is avoided in many situations, and even when the support assembly is tilted/rotated, the mounting of the lighting arrays on the sides, and the turning and/or tilting of the lighting arrays predominantly within the envelope of the housing contributes to avoidance of an undesirable “bug eye” appearance.
