摘要: A system and method for processing mosaiced or raw data images operates to concurrently demosaic and resize the mosaiced images in a combined process. The combined demosaic/resize process allows the system to perform demosaicing and resizing more efficiently than conventional systems, which perform these processes separately and sequentially. Furthermore, the combined demosaic/resize process allows the system to produce demosaiced and resized images of higher quality as compared to demosaiced and resized images produced by the conventional systems.

摘要: A log of events that occur to an image file is kept. For example, if the image is e-mailed, printed, edited, etc., the event is recorded in the log. Consequently, a user can review the log and know what has been done with the image file previously. This log is created and maintained automatically. The log may be created when the image file is downloaded to a computer from a digital camera along with a specific instruction or intent of what is to be done immediately with the image file by the computer, e.g., e-mail or print the file. The log may also be created or updated subsequently as the image file is used. The log may be written into the image file or may be written in a separate file that is stored with the image file.

摘要: Disclosed is a monitor device for a moving body such as a vehicle, aircraft or vessel, moving at a certain speed. The monitor device displays an image of a front scene of the moving body with the image of the central area being enlarged in accordance with the running speed of the moving body such that condition of a far away portion can be recognized accurately. A zoom ratio calculating section determines a zoom ratio in accordance with running speed of the moving body. The area of image to be displayed is selected in accordance with the zoom ratio and the image of the selected area is displayed on a display screen in an enlarged form. A specially designed distortion lens may be used to take the picture of the front scene to form an image of the scene with its central area being optically enlarged.

摘要: An image sensing unit with an improved structure and a digital camera adopting the same are provided. The image sensing unit for a digital camera includes a light-receiving surface having a plurality of pixel sensors arranged regularly on a two-dimensional region of a predetermined size, a scanning electronic circuit that outputs light incident onto the pixel sensors as an electric image signal that has undergone photoelectric conversion, and a color filter mosaic separated at a predetermined distance from the light-receiving surface in the light incidence direction. Here, the light-receiving surface is divided into a chromatic sensing element for receiving chromatic light entering through the color filter mosaic and the achromatic sensing element for receiving directly incident achromatic light that has not passed through the color filter mosaic. The digital camera adopting the image sensing unit can achieve smooth automatic focusing in a low brightness environment.

摘要: The present invention relates to interpolating a missing color value of a given pixel in an array of pixels. The missing color value is determined from color values of neighboring pixels using a median-based technique in which the median is taken of the four pixels values of the horizontally and vertically neighboring pixels (G1-G4) having a same color as the missing color value, and color information from at least one other color (R/B) at the given pixel.
