    摘要: An imaging base paper is disclosed having a center raw-base cellulose paper, a front layer of polyolefin laminated to the front side of the center raw-base cellulose paper and a rear layer of polyolefin laminated to the rear side of the center raw-base cellulose paper having areas of a higher gloss level in first regions of the rear side of the imaging base paper and having areas of a lower gloss level in second regions of the rear side of the imaging base paper surrounding the first regions. The gloss difference between the first regions and the second regions on the coated paper amounts to from about 20 to 80, as measured with a measuring head under an angle of 60 degrees, according to standard ASTM D 523.

    摘要: A system for tinting contact lenses includes a transfer-pad printer adapted to pick up a pattern from an inked printing block and transfer the pattern to a soaked contact lens. A plurality of lens mounts, each adapted to fixedly hold a soaked lens in a defined position on a convexly curved top surface of the lens mount, are provided with reference means on their respective top surfaces to facilitate accurate placing of a soaked lens in the defined position on each lens mount prior to the pattern transfer from the transfer pad to the lens. The radius of curvature of the convexly curved top surface of each lens mount is slightly smaller than the radius of curvature of the base curve of a soaked lens placed on the lens mount to facilitate shrinking-on of the back surface of the soaked lens onto the top surface of the lens mount.

    摘要: A method for tinting contact lenses which comprises the following steps: providing contact lenses, at least one transfer-pad printer, including a suitable ink of the desired tint, and at least one printing block carrying an iris pattern, attaching the contact lenses to lens mounts, aligning the mounted lens with the pad of the transfer-pad printer, inking the printing block, causing the pad to pick up the iris pattern from the inked block, and causing the pad to make contact with the mounted lens, thereby transferring the iris pattern as picked up from the block to the mounted contact lens. A system for tinting contact lenses is also provided.

    摘要: The textile-printing industry is very interested in bypassing the laborious and expensive production of transfer printing papers, together with the required engraving of rolls. It has been found that this demand can be satisfied by electronically recording and reproducing any motif and transferring to textile material by means of halftone systems.According to the invention, the dyestuffs are continuously transferred by halftone systems from four differently and uniformly colored papers one after the other. To obtain a good picture, 10 to 20 halftone dots per cm are advisable for pressing the paper to the surface of the textile material. Either the halftone dots themselves are heated, or they press the textile material and paper onto a heated surface. The halftone dots are electronically actuated in correspondence with the scanning of the motif.The process can be carried out particularly simply on a flat screen printing machine, because this machine dispenses with the need to perform the color transfer very rapidly from the paper uniformly colored with dyestuff to the PES material.

    摘要: Offset printing on a polypropylene resin case for a video tape cassette is readily and effectively accomplished by: first applying an anchor coat, containing a polyol, a polyester and a vinyl chloride resin as principal components and isocyanate as a curing agent, onto the surface to be thus printed of a polypropylene sheet from which a blank sheet is to be die cut and assembled into said case; subjecting the anchor coat to a precuring treatment; and then offset printing on the anchor coat surface with the use of an offset printing ink of ultraviolet ray-curing tape before the anchor coat becomes fully cured.
