摘要： A heavy-duty pneumatic tire includes a carcass including a carcass ply extending from a tread portion through a sidewall portion and turned up around a bead core of a bead portion. The bead core includes a radially inner surface extending along a bottom surface of the bead portion in the radial direction of the tire. Under both conditions that include an unloaded standard condition where the tire is mounted on a standard rim and inflated to regular internal pressure and a loaded standard condition where the tire in the unloaded standard condition above is loaded with a regular load and grounded at a camber angle of 0 degrees, the tire has an angle between the radially inner surface of the bead core and a rim sheet surface of the standard rim being in a range of 0 plus/minus 3 degrees.

Examples include one or more of the shear layers constituted of an elastomeric fabric having elastomeric fibers woven in the fabric. Such fibers may be spandex fibers and the fabric may further be characterized as being woven additionally with nylon fibers in a tricot construction. Other embodiments include at least one of the shear layers constituted of a polyurethane type elastomer material having an MA1O of between 1 MPa and 350 MPa. Exemplary shoulder section and bead section shear layers in a pinch shocked region are opposite across an interior of the tire.

The pneumatic tire comprises: a pair of bead portions having bead cores embedded therein, each bead core being constituted of plural bead wires extending in the tire circumferential direction; a pair of side wall portions extending from the bead portions on the outer side in the tire radial direction; a tread portion extending over the respective sidewall portions; and a carcass extending in a toroidal shape across the aforementioned portions and having respective end portions being turned up around the bead cores, wherein the bead wires each have complementary shape portions in a section in the tire widthwise direction, by which shape portions adjacent bead wires are complementarily engageable with each other.

摘要： A pneumatic tire has a carcass structure extending through a pair of opposing bead portions and an inner liner located inward of the carcass structure, each bead portion comprising a bead core about which is wrapped the carcass structure and a toeguard. Each bead portion has a bead toe, a bead base, and a bead heel, the bead base extending between the bead toe and the bead heel. The bead heel has a profile corresponding to a sector of an ellipse or approximates a sector of an ellipse by having a dual radius structure. The bead base may have a dual taper configuration. The bead core may be substantially centered in the bead portion, as determined by the material thickness at three locations about the bead core.

摘要： A pneumatic radial ply tire for heavier load conditions having a reduced weight, high durability bead area. The pneumatic tire includes a tire bead and a carcass ply folded about the bead to define a main body portion and a turnup portion. The turnup portion is folded around the bead and located adjacent the main body portion radially outward of the bead. The turnup portion has a turnup height of approximately 35-45% of the total section height. A thin rubber strip associated with the bead is disposed between the main body portion and the turnup portion and has an insert height of approximately 25% of the total section height. The pneumatic tire further includes a chafer having a maximum chafer gauge of not more than approximately 1.5 times the thickness of the tire side wall.
