摘要： A guarded striker plate and guarded latch face plate set which provides for the use of the identical piece on either the door jamb or on the door. One embodiment uses an L-shaped configuration incorporating a one guard member. A second embodiment uses a Z-shaped member incorporating a two guarded member. Both the L and the Z configuration may also be employed singly or in pairs. In a final embodiment a Z configuration may be used on the door jamb and an L configuration can be used employed on the door providing for maximum security from unauthorized entry.

摘要： A biasing spring especially for a doorknob keeper or other knob to knob-sleeve connector and the combination thereof with a knob connector of any of various types, but in particular a plate mounted for radial movement in a plane normal to the axis of a knob sleeve and having a lug projecting radially into engagement with a surrounding knob portion. The spring has a central angular bight embracing a central tongue on the retainer plate at one side of the sleeve, and side legs straddling a central clearance space in the knob sleeve and extending into stressed camming engagement with converging inside faces of the opposite half of the sleeve. The spring legs may have end portions interlocked with the plate to secure the spring in place, or may be otherwise retained.

摘要： A safety cover for a door knob is designed to complicate the opening of the door by small children but permits the opening of the door by other persons by proper manipulation of the safety cover. A pair of inner and outer annular cover parts with interengaging fastening formations surround the shank and door knob. A resilient pressure pad is carried by the outer cover part between a flexible wall portion thereof and the front surface of the door knob. The safety cover when turned by a small child rotates freely on the door knob. When a sufficient force is applied to the flexible wall portion of the outer cover part, the resilient pressure pad is urged against the front surface of the door knob to frictionally grip same thus permitting the safety cover to turn the door knob.

摘要： A door lock strike guard is for use with a door jamb having a strike pocket therein and overlying a frame member. The guard itself is a flat metal bar having at one end a panel adapted to be disposed at one side of the strike pocket and having at the other end a leg adapted to be driven into a bore in the frame member. Between the panel and the leg there is an offset strap so that the leg is well displaced from the edge of the frame member. A lateral force on the strike pocket wall, normally borne only by the part of the jamb bounding the strike pocket, is additionally borne by the panel and at least in part is transferred to the frame member. In a modification, a screw regulates the penetration of the leg into the bore.
