At a computing device, geofence data is determined, wherein geographic boundaries associated with the geofence data are based on a given estimated time of arrival (ETA) from one of the given location and a current location of a handheld communication device. Given location data associated with the given location is transmitted to the handheld communication device, via a communication interface, when the current location of the handheld communication device and the given location are each within the geographic boundaries such that the handheld communication device is transportable to the given location within the given estimated time of arrival.

    摘要: A system, method, and computer program product which normalizes GPS data obtained from multiple vehicles. At a server, GPS information is received from first and second vehicles in first and second formats. The GPS data is normalized for synchronized display of positions of the first and second vehicles, and transmitted to a computer in order to display simultaneously the synchronized positions of the first and second vehicles. An end user of the system may search for GPS logs of other people and simultaneously display the information resulting from the search with his or her own GPS information. The system may also provide for an automatic upload from a mobile device of the GPS data captured on a circuit or other location.

The emergency call device carries out an emergency call to a service center when an emergency condition occurs. When a communication terminal issues a request for acquiring current position information of a GPS communication terminal, the request is sent to the GPS communication terminal. The GPS communication terminal calculates the current position on the basis of a radio wave from a GPS satellite, and sends current position information to the communication terminal. When a failure is detected, repair request is transmitted to the response center through wireless communication together with the user ID of the driver. Based on this request, the response center acquires remedy information from a car manufacturer and makes arrangements for repair and provides this remedy information to a repair shop.

If the expiration date has been passed, the microcomputer sends contract renewal determination information and vehicle ID information to the center. The center determines whether the contract has been renewed based on the vehicle ID information. If the contract has been renewed, the center sends the latest service contract expiration date information to the in-vehicle information terminal device.
