Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a seat for a vehicle which is capable of smoothly and stably adjusting the reclining of a seat back by driving an electrical reclining motor 34, even if the electrical reclining motor 34 is diagonally mounted on a seat back frame structure in a case where the electrical reclining motor 34 is fixedly connected on a seat back frame structure, or even if the electrical reclining motor 34 becomes inclined due to a deformation of the seat back frame structure after such a fixedly connection.There is provided a seat 10 for a vehicle comprising a seat back frame structure 12 a lower end of which is connected to a rear end of a seat cushion frame structure 14 in such a way that the seat back frame structure 12 can be inclined relative to the seat cushion frame structure 14, said seat back frame structure 12 including a pair of side frames 20A,B each of which extends in a vertical direction of the vehicle, said seat 10 for the vehicle further comprising a through-hole 28 provided on a lower end portion of each of the pair of side frames 20A,B, a connecting rod 30 extending through each of the through-holes 28 so as to be rotatable about a horizontal direction, an electrical reclining motor 34 rotating said connecting rod 30 and provided along the one of side surfaces of the one of said pair of side frames 20A,B, and a reclining apparatus 16 provided on the other of the side surfaces of each of said pair of side frames 20A,B, a bolt through-hole 72 being provided on a non-rotational driven solid portion of said electrical reclining motor 34, a bolt 74 which fits into said bolt through-hole 72 is provided for fixedly bolting said electrical reclining motor 34 on said one of the side surfaces of the one of the pair of side frames 20A,B, said bolt 74 comprising a head portion 76 and a shank portion 78 with a circular cross-section, said shank portion 78 comprises an enlarged-diameter portion 82 on its end portion and a reduced-diameter portion 84 adjacent to the enlarged-diameter portion 82 with being concentric to each other.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a suspension coil spring includes forming first shot peening indentations on a surface of a wire by projecting first shots toward the wire and forming a compressive residual stress portion to which a compressive residual stress is imparted from the surface of the wire to a first depth, and projecting ball shots as second shots toward a lower end turn portion by an ultrasonic apparatus. A size of each ball shot is larger than a size of each first shot. The method includes forming second shot peening indentations on a surface of the lower end turn portion, and a deep residual stress portion in the lower end turn portion, a compressive residual stress of the deep residual stress portion imparted from the surface of the wire to a second depth that is deeper than the first depth.

Abstract: A hollow stabilizer production method of a hollow stabilizer used for a vehicle includes attaching a first mounting member and a second mounting member respectively to one end and another end of a formed steel tube and heating the steel tube. The method includes feeding a carburizing gas into the interior space of the heated steel tube through the first mounting member, and collecting the air and/or the surplus carburizing gas from the interior space through the second mounting member to thereby carburize the steel tube inner surface. The method includes rapidly cooling the heated steel tube to thereby quench the steel tube continuously from the carburization.

Abstract: A hollow coil spring is made of a hollow wire in which a terminal sealed portion is formed on an end portion of the wire. The terminal sealed portion has a rotationally symmetric shape in which an axis passing through the center of the wire is the symmetric axis. The hollow coil spring includes an end wall portion, and an end face arc-shaped curved surface. The end wall portion includes an end face perpendicular to the axis. A distal-end-center closure portion is formed on the axis at the center of the end wall portion. A spring seat includes a base member and a sheet member. An end turn portion of the hollow coil spring is in contact with the sheet member. The end face of the end turn portion is opposed to a stopper wall of the spring seat.

Abstract: In a power seat operation device, a micro switch is attached inside a dial that is rotatably provided to a side face of a power seat. An opening is formed inside the dial, with an operation portion of a knob to operate the micro switch inserted through the opening. There is accordingly a possibility that liquid might infiltrate into the dial, however a channel is formed inside the dial by the dial and the knob. The channel lets liquid flow downward to the lower side of the micro switch so as to discharge the liquid to outside the dial in cases in which liquid has infiltrated into the dial through the opening in a state in which the opening is positioned at the upper side of the micro switch. The channel is partitioned from the micro switch, enabling flow of liquid to the micro switch to be prevented or suppressed.
