摘要: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a coil spring and for determining a propelling condition for a shot medium. In a case where it is confirmed that the coating film remains in a third step, at least one or more of conditions of the shot peening treatment including a propelling speed of the shot medium, a propelling time of the shot medium, a material of the shot medium, and an average particle diameter of the shot medium are changed and the second step and the third step are repeated until the coating film does not remain. In a case where it is confirmed that the coating film does not remain in the third step, the condition of the shot peening treatment in the second step in which the coil spring is obtained with no remaining coating film is determined as the propelling condition for the shot medium.

摘要: A suspension includes a coil spring, a shock absorber, a spring seat, and at least three strongly pressing parts. The coil spring elastically receives vertical movement of a wheel relative to a vehicle body. The shock absorber damps the vertical movement. The spring seat is provided in the shock absorber. The sprint seat supports an axial end of the coil spring. The coil spring is in direct or indirect contact with the spring seat over a predetermined distance from an end to a point of separation of the coil spring. The strongly pressing parts are provided in the spring seat. The strongly pressing parts apply contact pressures higher than contact pressure applied by other part, to the coil spring. The point of separation is disposed at a region that is between the strongly pressing parts and has the largest opening angle about an axial center of the shock absorber.

摘要: A pulley assembly for raising and lowering an associated vehicle body comprising a housing including an outer sleeve extending along an axis. At least one top pulley wheel is operably connected to the outer sleeve and at least one bottom pulley wheel is operably connected to the outer sleeve and moveable relative to the at least one top pulley wheel along the axis. A cable is weaved between the at least one top pulley wheel and the at least one bottom pulley wheel. An actuator is operably connected to the cable to reel-in the cable and draw the at least one top pulley wheel towards the at least one bottom pulley wheel to lower the associated vehicle body. The actuator further reels-out the cable to permit the at least one top pulley wheel to move away from the at least one bottom pulley wheel to raise the associated vehicle body.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a hollow spring member having a hollow steel spring rod having terminal sealed portions at both ends thereof. Each terminal sealed portion has a rotationally symmetric shape in which an axis passing through a center of the spring rod is an axis of symmetry. Each terminal sealed portion has an end wall portion including an end face; an arc-shaped smoothly curved surface between an outer peripheral surface of the spring rod and the end face, and a hermetically closed distal-end-center closure portion on the axis passing through the center of the spring rod. The method includes forming each of the end portions of the spring rod by forming a chamfered portion on an inner or outer peripheral side of the end portion of a hollow wire, the end portion having an opening portion at a distal end, heating the end portion of the hollow wire having the chamfered portion, and spinning the heated end portion to be gathered toward the axis from the outer peripheral side by a jig. The end wall portion, which includes the distal-end-center closure portion, is formed by the distal end of the end portion being joined together on the axis.

摘要: An apparatus and methods are provided for a modular front drivetrain comprising a single assembly that may be installed onto and removed from a vehicle. The modular front drivetrain comprises a modular chassis supporting a transaxle, a front differential, and a steering gear for operating front wheels of the vehicle. The transaxle, the front differential and drive axles convey torque from an engine onboard the vehicle to the front wheels. A spindle assembly is coupled with each front wheel of the vehicle and pivotally joined with the modular chassis by way of a front suspension system. Steering rods coupled with the spindle assemblies horizontally rotate the front wheels according to operation of a steering wheel onboard the vehicle. The modular front drivetrain advantageously facilitates replacing an entire drivetrain and suspension assembly quickly and easily in the event of a part failure during racing applications.

摘要: In an autonomous traveling unit, a toggle mechanism including a plurality of sliders is provided. In the plurality of sliders, cam followers are provided, respectively. Meanwhile, in a workpiece loading unit, a clamped portion is provided. As a result of the cam followers, which are displaced so as to separate away from each other, entering intersection portions of the clamped portion, the workpiece loading unit is restrained by the autonomous traveling unit.
