Abstract: An electrically insulating mechanical joint checker for mechanical joints connecting rails of following track segments of a railway line, each track segment forming part of a track circuit. The track segment includes electric signal transmitting units and receiving units for transmitting and receiving train presence detection signals within the track segment and/or relating communication signals between the train and the track segment. The train presence detection signals and communication signals include a further joint detection signal, generated and transmitted by the transmitting units and received by the receiving units belonging to the same track segment, the joint detection signal relating to the track segment being different at least in respect to the one relating to the adjacent track segments. A method to detect a failure or breakage of a mechanical joint inside a track segment is also disclosed.

Abstract: A system for controlling a level crossing between a railway track and a road, the system comprising a first couple of transmitters and a second couple of transmitters in proximity of a level crossing area; a first couple of receivers and a second couple of receivers opposite to the transmitters with respect to the railway track, the first couple of transmitters and receivers located on a first side of the road and the second couple of transmitters and receivers located opposite to the first side, a control unit sending and receiving signals from said transmitters and receivers, wherein each couple of transmitters transmits a first beam from a first transmitter towards a corresponding first receiver, and a second beam from a second transmitter towards an opposite second receiver, the control unit activates sending at least one second beam and sends a warning message and/or close bars of the level crossing upon interruption of at least one first beam due to the presence of the train on the railway track.

Abstract: This test method for validating a specification of a graphical interface consists of developing a scenario file corresponding to the validation test to be performed. The scenario file includes a plurality of instructions, in a natural programming language, each instruction including a function, parameters and an expected state of the graphical interface following the application of the function. The test is automatically performed by interpreting the scenario file so as to generate commands intended for an engine capable of interacting with the graphical interface and monitoring the evolution of its current state, and then analyzing a result file associating each instruction of the scenario file with a result corresponding to the comparison of the current state of the graphical interface following the application of the corresponding command with the expected state.
