摘要: An adjustable bimini bracket is for use in connection with a boat having a railing tubular member on either side of the boat, and a bimini having strut tubular members. Left and right side plates are generally parallel and spaced apart. A transverse plate extends between the side plates. Ridges are disposed intermediate the transverse plate and the end. The side plates have a pair of collinear holes therethrough adjacent each end. The bimini bracket will slidingly engage the tubular member between the side plates. A bolt and a hand knob engage the first holes. The hand knob will be tightened, clamping the tubular member between the side plates, thereby preventing the bimini bracket from sliding on the tubular member. A second bolt and a nut engage the second holes for pivotal fastening of a strut tubular member to the bimini bracket, and for fastening a tie-down. The side plates taper upward in thickness from one end to the ridges. A plurality of ribs reinforces the side plates.

摘要: A safety cover 10 for automotive service pits 1 is constructed of square cross section hollow support members 11 welded to alternate links of double pitched roller chain segments 15. Cover 10 is divided into two halves wherein each half has support members 11 perpendicularly welded to two lengths of chain 15 at each end of support members 11. Support members 11 are further disposed in parallel spaced relation one to the other. Roller chain segments 15 are longitudinally supported at the top edges of the pit side walls 5 by opposing segments of C-channel 12. U-shaped bends 18 are provided in the lower lip 17 of opposing C-channel segments 12 and are disposed at, at least, one end which is adjacent an end wall 6 of automotive service pit 1. U-shaped bends 18 provide a receiving pocket for receiving the double pitched roller chain 15 and connecting support members 11 when cover 10 is slid into the open position.C-channel 12 and double pitched roller chain 15 are constructed of suitable materials such that the relative coefficient of friction between roller chain 15 and C-channel 12 inhibits sliding of the cover with the addition of any weight, e.g. a person standing on the cover.

摘要: A bus structure for use in a computer network requiring high availability and reliability of communications. Multiple bus paths (2A, 2B) are provided. When a transmission is to be made, under most circumstances the path is selected at random, with all paths being equally probable. Thus, failure of a path is detected quickly. Each host device in the network connects to the bus paths through an interface, or port (1). The task of path selection is carried out by the ports, independently of the host devices. The ports also detect path failures and automatically switch over to an alternate good path upon detection of such a failure, all without host involvement. Virtual circuit communications between hosts are transparent to path selection and switching, so the only indication to a host device of a path failure is a decrease in throughput. Most of the signal processing apparatus of each port (10, 20A, 20B) is shared by the paths, only one path being supported at any given time. Thus, the addition of a second bus path involves only minimal cost.
